I thought I'd stay another day or two on the LC razors Fuzzy @wchnu loaned me. I'm pretty fascinated with how well they work and how awesome it is to see some really old razors doing their thing. I threw a new blade into the Gem Junior and will probably stay with it a couple of days to get a really good feel for it. I have to say (and don't tell Fuzzy) that I could get used to shaving with this razor. His evil plan to convert me to SE's is well thought out. I'll have to watch myself.

I rehydrated what was left of my MWF. It had shrunk to quite a smaller volume since it has sat so long. But, after I let it soak all last night and today it provided its usual excellent lather. Time to reorder another puck as this one is about gone. JR54 brush was perfect and awesome as always.

I'm totally loving the sound these razors make. Quite audible and you know you're making progress. By the end of the XTG pass things are quiet and all is well. No blood, quiet alum, just a few touch ups and an awesome shave is at hand. Great way to end the day. The Gem Junior may make its way into my den on a permanent basis. (Or not - let's keep the Fuzzter confused).

Sammy, in my alternative universe shave I have your set up with but new soap & vintage AS, nearly everything else a double image doppelganger. Jason @jtspartan - look at his photo! That's not a RyX, it's a Sammy!

That's a review that has me intrigued. I'm not afraid of heavy, OC, or adjustables. The cap has a style about it.

I've only enjoyed the soap. Can y'all sell me on the AS, balm, or cologne? Product quality & scent?

 

I see the similarities, Rick, including some fine gear... but no green tinge or vintage filter for the ‘Rick Pic’ tribute!

A lovely shave this morning. I really enjoy using the No.10 cream the performance and post shave is very good and the PSB is just not needed but I really like the scent.
Not the most sophisticated nor the most complex scent but I enjoy the understatement.
No high five, or man hug from this one, just a plain old handshake and a quiet hello.

It’s DE week for me, so I used my Gillette long comb this morning. Excellent razor!

I paired it up with a Personna lab blue, Stirling bay rum soap, whipped up my lather with a @Jayaruh brush #221, and topped it off with some Aqua Velva musk.

It was a nice way to start the day!

Good morning friends. Excellent three pass shave today with the Gillette Aristocrat loaded with a Personna blade. Fantastic lather from the Italian Barber Amici shave soap. I finished with Old Spice... smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺
