I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #287 brush. I did two passes with the Pal Injecto-Matic Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I found that if I strop a Rockwell blade on my hand first it shaves much better. ymmv

Superb shave. I used the Vision wide open for the first pass everywhere and last pass on my cheeks, dialing it down for XTG. The result was very close and comfortable with only one small weeper that closed quickly.

Tabac AS and/or Cologne are long-lasting fragrances, that match the soap. The AS has a nice sting. SWMBO approves. I have been using it since 1979 (purchased my first bottle in Germany) and have always had it in my fragrance collection, even before my 2014 wet-shaving renaissance. The price point is such, that it's worth giving it a try.

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Route 66 Bourbon Jungle today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor High Mountain White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with YSL M7 Oud Absolu EdT.

Although I need a pivoting head for my tremors, I still reserve the right to use a Tech or an SS, so there !!, take it or leave it. Believe it or not. I came out with a BBS, I am astonished that it was possible, but with very intense concentration ( and lots of luck) I did it, with 2 passes, WTG/ATG and some very careful clean up, a cold water rinse and topped with afta AS, I`m good to go. God be with each of you.

Thanks Tim, the shave was quite excellent this morning.

 

For me the balm scent is spot on as the soap but stronger. A little thick going on but melts and aroma stayed for full hour before I splashed on the Cologne. Been 2.5 hours since I splashed on the cologne and aroma still hanging around about 50% strength as to first applied. A favorite of mine since I was a kid (61 now) and grandfather and uncle used it daily. A favorite of my wife too. I lucked out and came across a perfume store going out of business and bought the balm for less than $7 and the large bottle of cologne went for $10. Even at retail, worth the price in my book.

 

BT171 again. I've had a lot of good shaves with the Tian Li blade but it disappointed here, pretty rough and not adequately efficient. Clean up with the Shake Sharp and twin Astras yields some perspective, crazy smooth in comparison.
