I'm not sure how many shaves I've had with this blade, but I think it's six. If so, this will be the most shaves I've had with any blade and it's still going strong. Two passes with a bit of touch up for an excellent BBS shave.

 

New
Todays shave was with an American made razor. I had a pleasant 2 pass shave, no touch-ups, that left me with a near BBS shave. Silent and very stiff blade. It's hard to get the feel, and feedback from this one, while shaving. You have to wait for the results.

Two nice boar shaves. Yesterday the 620 made very nice lather (right on my face, lol). Today I explored the brush of yesteryear. (Man that's a big brush). The big boar made very fine lather, it seemed almost whiter than normal. While it didn't seem to pile on, it was very thick. I kept adding water expecting the lather to pile up, but it maintained the thick skinny almost gleaming white lather. The matador made nice shaves of both. Tonight I finished with Avon Exploration, got a compliment from the wife. Life's lookin' nice.

Very nice shave this morning. Excellent lather from the Ballenclaugh and the scent of Honey Tobacco is really unique. Finished off with Van Yulay balm. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Just switching soap/brush tonight to the Stirling Mountain Man and JR46. Same Gem Junior with Treet blade. Seeing how I will handle this razor when I'm not feeling my best. My digestive system - read - Pancreas - decided to finally complain about the time in the woods. This too shall pass. I'm just dealing with a little extra pain and not quite 100% here.

The lather was everything I have come to love about Stirling. Quick, easy and plentiful. All I did was wet my face, soak the synthetic knot about 10 seconds then load from the puck and face lather. Easy peazy. Two passes and all's well. Very smooth still, very noisy just like it should be and a near BBS was the result. This razor really does a great job. The look is so different from what I'm used to but it does the job of holding the blade where it needs to be to be effective. Bravo!
