Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Excellent Fat Friday shave. Love The Fat and have always loved the scent of Fine American Blend. Great combination of products. So thankful it's Friday. Next Friday is the last day of the school year for teachers. The kids get out Thursday of next week. It's winding down quickly! I was incredibly busy leading up to this week and am pretty exhausted right now. Looking forward to rest this weekend and prolonged inactivity starting around Memorial Day.

    Have a great Friday, everyone!

I like this razor and wanted the shave to be over the top awesome today, unfortunately it was just a really good comfortable shave. Tomorrow should be better as I haven't used this razor in the better part of a year.

Today was my second shave with the Fattip. Instead of shaving like I'm trying to set a world speed record of some kind (which has become my bad habit with DEs), I slowed down to a normal (albeit still faster than normal) pace. No blade feel, great shave. I'm not sure if the results from an aggressive razor are any better than a mild one, but I do know they require me to slow down a bit. That's kind of why I started this whole wet shaving thing, but I seem to have forgotten the need for zen as my technique has gotten better. I also used to think some of these stunt shaves were nuts too. Now I think - eh, they're all just blade holders. Not that I'm planning on replacing my razors with a dollar store paint scraper anytime soon, but the whole point of "technique trumps tools" becomes more and more apparent the longer I'm here.

Along those lines, isn't it about time one of the lead lemmings broke from the pack for a stunt shave? It is the weekend after all! At least it will be once we see Logan...

Lovely B&W photo Perry. Happy Friday. I know you're excited for the school year to be over. Today is Maya's last official day at school. She exempted all her final exams and will graduate next Thursday night.

Thank you, Clint! I’m sure Maya is excited. Most our seniors are done as well. Today should be their last day if they had exams. Our graduation is Tuesday afternoon.

Think of it more as Fine Peppermint with Lavender in the background. Fine Lavender is based off of C&S Oxford and Cambridge which peppermint over a base of lavender.

I've only been using this blade with the Fatboy for more-or-less weekly shaves and, to be honest, I've long since lost count of the number of shaves on it. Still it continues to perform well. One weeper today which, I think, was from catching myself under the nose with a blade tab.

Interesting. I haven't given Fine lavender much thought. I didn't know about the peppermint aspect. I have the B&M Reserve Lavender which is straight up lavender.

I hadn’t pulled the Injectomatic in quite a few months. It isn’t MAYhem, but it is my most aggressive Injector, and maybe my most agressive safety razor. Zero pressure with this razor means almost reverse pressure. Can’t remember what blade is in here, but I believe it is a Chick. 2 1/2 passes this morning with no blood. Pulled the alum for an irritation test and it was completely quiet. A good shave all around and still more life on the blade. Finishing with the Gentleman? Priceless.
    Have a great day all!
