I agree Cold Spices and Oud Spice are perhaps the best Old Spice interprestations. Which is really saying a lot since there are a ton out there.

    Razor- H.Boker & Co. "Tree"
    Brush- RazoRock 400. Synthetic Knot.
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

Thank you! I love trying different soaps, some of my favorites performers rarely if ever get mentioned ( Ballenclaugh, Smitten Soapery, Turtleship, Wet The Face, Perfectly Natural, etc). It's always fun to experiment and see what works best for you.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY

    Prep: splash of water
    Razor: Gillette Superspeed Flair Tip
    Blade: Rapira SS (1st shave)
    Brush: Fine Angel Hair Synthetic
Soap: Chiseled Face Cedar & Spice
    Post: none

Hahaha from reading the gear you may guess that this shave would be rough, but surprisingly things did not go as bad as expected. I tend to usually have bad luck with travel shaves for some reason, but finished the shave with no bloodletting but did manage a bit of irritation.

Love seeing these old newspapers Bill! Back when men were men, even that farmer is clean shaven.

One of my first purchases in 2019 to celebrate a great year of NB will be a soap mentioned very little in here, The Soap Exchange(actually, @Queen of Blades had it as a raffle prize once).

While not having tried those you list, I'd have to throw Stoylin Spice in there, too.

    Razor - Kampfe Star
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Executive Man
Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Another fine shave with the Kampfe Star. Of the two great vintage LC's Fuzzy loaned me, I think I still prefer the Gem Junior by juuuuuussssttttttt that much. The Kampfe left me a bit warm on the alum again and just seems a bit touchier on angle. There's nothing wrong with that at at all. Just a personal preference growing. Would I add a Kampfe to my collection? Do you really need to ask? But I think I would find the right Gem Junior first, then the Kampfe.

I used the Stirling Executive Man soap and the two banded brush for the shave and had the usual flawless Stirling lather. The Treet carbon blade was still smooth and effective so no worries there. No blood, just a bit of extra heat from the alum, and the finish is a solid DFS.

Thunderstorms rolling through periodically here today which is much better than if it had done it last weekend! Hope yours has been great!

It boggles my mind how many men have facial hair. Every man in my family, except one have either full beards or some kind of mustache and goatee. If that`s what they want, fine, but not for me, Bill
