It's a nice razor that came from your shop. Unfortunately, it languished in dormancy while I was using the clog pruf for 6 months.
Decide my proficiency with the straight has increased enough that I can use it without fear on a workday. All I have to have in order to do so, is time. Unfortunately, I was late this morning, but live and learn. Anyway, irritation is getting less, but my ability to get my neck closer to a BBS has not improved. Finished it with the Fattip. I also used a JR brush that had been set with a small boar. Originally I felt it was too small a knot and was considering passing it along, but after using the brush a few times, the knot is softening up and splaying a lot more, and it's getting better with each use. In trying to make room amongst my overcrowded soaps I'm weeding them down a bit, and sweetening the pot for the Shavey awards. Yesterday I added Vanilla Sandalwood, and today I was trying to pass along the Port Au Prince, but being my only sheep tallow soap with a nice scent, I decided it remains in the fold for now. I'll post a pic when I head home for lunch. SIDEBAR: Are we claiming Texas A&M and Missouri in the SEC now? I didn't realize they'd worked their way off of super secret probation yet.
SOTD MAYhem 21st Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Le Coq OC Rapira Platinum Lux(2) Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum Satin Tip The Purest (22mm, Corvette Class) Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill PSB Today's shave features the most aggressive razor that I have in my collection. The Le Coq open comb features a relatively flat blade geometry and enough positive blade exposure to make the guard worthless. Riding the cap with this razor is a must, otherwise you'll look like you got into a fight with a spurred rooster . Two passes this morning was enough to bring me just shy of BBS. Finished of with Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill. Have a great day my friends!
The main man does it again. Razor against the moss shows well and love the brush, I've pondered one of those.
My wife and I watched that game in a Taco Mac in midtown Atlanta. The atmosphere in there became pretty tense. That was an incredible game.
Wonderful photo and report Andrew. The Le Coq looks like it would make you pay a serious price for any mistakes.
Thank you Ken. The CH2 synthetic is a great brush and my favorite of the synthetic brushes. Many times you can see it or a Duke 3 synthetic listed at great prices on the BST sections of shave forums.
He was injured some in Spring practice. A story recently came out saying that he would have transferred had he not played in the National Championship game. Of course he played in it and ending up winning it for the Tide. Then Jalen Hurts is sitting right there, still. Will be interested summer camp for the QB battle. I think they use both of them because both have weapons. In fact, I think Hurts should stay on the field the whole time during offense. If he doesn't play QB he could easily be in the backfield, run routes to the flat, etc. He's a terrific player.
If Hurts wins out, perhaps your can go to a Wishbone or Veer attack? We'll be glad to have the Hawaaiin come to Harvard to play for a DIFFERENT Crimson .
I’m good for between 8-10 shaves on an Injector. I often lose count and I just replace it when I need to, rather than on a number.
Thank you for the reassurance, Jason. Open comb, aggressive razors both intrigues and frightens me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just a note. A razor with an open comb is no more aggressive than the same razor with a safety bar. For example an ATT R razor is available in both a SB and OC version. The open comb does have a different face feel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, at least the Gators beat him and the aggies in their first SEC game (on the road, no less). You're welcome. Apparently it took quite a lot out of us, because we haven't won many games since then...
Your description of him reminds me of John Sciarra of UCLA, who began his career there by backing up Mark Harmon(yes, THE Mark Harmon)at QB, then filled in nicely when Harmon graduated. He was an option QB for the Bruins, and was drafted by the Eagles, and I think returned a few punts. I don't recall if he did any quarterbacking for Filly.
May 21, 2018 Razor: English Gillette FB Tech Blade: 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless (Indian Green) (2) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Soap: Williams Post: Alum, Listerine, WH Second shave with this blade and razor. I'm getting the sense that this is a deceptively sharp blade, one of those ones which make you wonder if it is even there. I was a bit rushed this morning and ended up with one weeper but a great shave otherwise.
