They still make an addiitive to compensate for the leaded gasoline.

 

Depends on what has been done to the motor. Might need to have hardened valve seats put in. There are additives you can use, but in the long run hardened seats and some motor work would be a better solution.

Lead cushions the blow of the valve against the seat and creates a better seal.

I am now doing my best impersonation of the one armed drummer. That guy kicks a$$.

 

Yeah, I was always under the impression that the lead in gas lubricated the engines internal parts. So without it you get a lot of metal on metal friction. Yes. No. Maybe?

 

more so than without it, but the newer oils help lubricate a bit better than the old. Drop a crate motor in there and call it a day.

Yeah. It won't destroy the engine but it's better to just do the valve work. Thats the main issue. The rest of the stuff won't make a huge difference.

Interesting. Since you guys recommened using FF over on the B that's what I've been using at home. I really kind of like that browser. At work, well they're sticking w/ IE. Guess I just won't use any game passwords at work. Oh wait, I don't play online games anyway.
