  1. Thank you Andrew. With one soon in grad school and one soon in college, the Mrs and I are enjoying our last couple of months before our big pay cut. :D
  2. Thank you, Clint!

    Thank you, Andrew!

Pulled the Monobilt today, for no other reason besides the fact that it is always a good idea. Quick & awesome 2 1/2 pass shave earlier this morning. Finished with the Barbershop, which I think is a pretty good match.
    Have a great day all!

    Razor: Impoverished Patrician
    Blade: 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless (5)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Kiss My Marvy
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Only one thing to do with Marvy- add cream and make a SuperLather. :) In this case, it's Kiss My Face unscented.

I decided to go with my down-at-the-heels '48-'50 Aristocrat today as a) I like this razor and b) I have a '41 arriving tomorrow. (Yea!) The blade is Indian and the razor was made not too long after Indian independence, so it probably represents the state of many British Aristocrats of the time. :)

Let's see... super lather, check! Blade, check! Razor, check! Jolly good shave, check!

Tomorrow will be the Fatboy with the Gillette Platinum Plus. Next week, I try the other blade from @Linuxguile, the Derby Premium.
  9. Thank you Andrew. I am well, but very busy. With my new job responsibilities requiring more travel, I just haven't had much time for logging in. I will check in tomorrow to see the latest pics of your handsome boy.
BTW, I'm still buying the occasional cool item that I run across. This is a badger brush with an Elk antler handle.

  17. A great pic to start a great day for your family, Clint! HS Grad is one of the last standing traditional rites of passage in society.
Awesome photo, Jim, and I am very jealous of those vintage juices!
Cool pic, Perry, and it sounds like you’re getting that Supply dialed in.
The house will seem quite large next year I suspect as well.
    Great set ups, Patrick!
