I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #289 brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with a CVS Carbon Steel SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Edit: I did not poke my eye out when I did ATG.

 

Does that razor double as a weapon?

 

It is more of a deterrent than a weapon.

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Stirling Agar today. 20 seconds to load the Mozingo/WSP Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Perma-Sharp Super still in the Gillette Black Handle Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Agar aftershave.

It was a fine two pass shave this morning with my Engstrom frameback. What a fine razor!

My puck of Stirling bay rum soap is still going strong after almost 3 months of daily use. Great soap!

Yesterday I combined an ounce of Van Der Hagen Deluxe, a half ounce of Cella and a third ounce sample of Jeeves Conservatory to make the Cella of Hagen Street soap. Lathered it up this morning and got mostly Cella, but it made an amazingly creamy slick lather. Applied it to my face with the big Stirling boar and wiped away lather and whiskers with a somewhat rare Schick DE, The Platinum. The Platinum was Schick's last stab at the DE market as cartridge razors were beginning to gain popularity in the early 1970's. The head geometry is pretty much identical to the Krona, which makes it a fantastic mild shaver. Paired with a nice sharp blade (it CAN cut an alligator in half you know) I did three passes and decided to chase the baby with some touch-ups. With the baby firmly in hand I finished with the Baxter Duo for my daily dose of menthol. Have a great long weekend everyone!!

 

It's a great shaver too and for $20.00 at IB, it's a great deal. It feels as mild as an EJ DE, but it's as efficient as my Fatip OC.

A very good BBS shave but not enough menthol. The Lord cream is excellent although it's only mildly cooling. That Fino balm is superb - it was my good friend DaveP who sent it to me.
