1. Alright, alright! Help me out here. It’s a 1948-50? The bar does not look notched. What did I miss ?

  3. Waiting on some soap samples:

Siliski Soaps: Patchouli blend, Santa's Pipe, and Masculine Musk.

Not much info about this artisan, but the lather videos look promising. Plus I love trying lesser known soaps, since many have become favorites.

Wild West Shaving Co: Calmity Jane, James& Artimus, Pony Express, and Rose Dunn.

Wild West has excellent performance and unique scents with many to choose from. Have yet to try a scent from them I didn't like. Really looking forward to these scent profiles.

  9. I finally decided to get a scuttle. I chose a Georgetown Pottery G20 in Hamada & Blue. I also chose one of their seconds as they are $40.00 instead of $65.00 due to minor imperfections. I talked with a rep from Georgetown Pottery and they explained the imperfections in the seconds are usually just a few pinholes in the glaze which does not bother me at all considering it will save me $25.00. I cant wait for it to arrive!

  11. Too big and heavy for me. Why do guys like the big handles? I think a lighter razor gives me better control.

  14. Huh!
  15. I don't like big handles, I like handles that balance the razor properly. Depends entirely on the weight of the head. A too light handle -- the Common Bar Handle on the New is my favorite example ain't no fun. 62g is fine for a bunch of heads I'm guessing -- same as 3" Karve handle pictured.

  17. You ordered four plates? I've yet to read reviews of the mildest AA and A plates.

  19. Yes, have seen the comparison. I can say that the Karve D plate does not feel like what a Rockwell R8 would. And yet I'm baffled that anyone thinks they need anything more efficient. I don't see great benefit with the F plate.
