    Thans Paul! He crawled under there to eat his toast. Maybe to get away from the dogs who always try to help themselves to his food. I figured the mixing of soaps would be a good way to get rid of some stuff that has been hanging around a while.

    Very good story there-already he knows how to please animals. Baby steps, of course, but it's a nice sign.

    Razor: G3 Aristocrat Adjustable (5)
    Blade: Derby Premium (1)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

    Curiosity got the better of me so I put aside the 7 O'Clock Permasharp and pulled out the other blade from Andrew, the Derby Premium. This is the one in the black label and is not to be confused with the Derby "Extra" in the green wrapper. Since it's Friday, I went with an adjustable razor; this time it's my birth quarter Aristocrat Adjustable.

    I have to admit that the Derby Premium seems like a nice blade. It's definitely a sharp one as was born out by the scratch I got when I put the razor down wrong. BBS or close enough and a reminder that I probably pushed that 7 O'Clock further than I should have as the last shave was smooth but not as close as it could have been in places.

    All in all, a great end to the week. :)

    I agree with you John, The Derby Premium is better then the Extra, But I think I liked the Permasharp Stainless better. BTW right now you can get the Derby Premium at a lower cost then the Extra!

    Well, considering that I hate the Derby Extra, that's a pretty low bar. :)

    The Permasharp Stainless is a nice blade, though. I'll probably be ordering some soon.
