I could really use an ibuprofen. Ray open up your medicine vault and shoot me something. Jackie is sick again. When she gets sick, I follow. Probably cause she keeps sticking her fingers in my mouth. On the up side I've got the new Mummy movie from Netflix waiting for me at home tonight. Headache be gone!
ours is divided into 3 checks per year. we get 600 per check but they tax it, which they never did before. we get closer to 400
my title says badger strangler now. i dont want to be a badger strangler. they arent nice. im nice. moi, me no want to be strangler.
So you're getting $1800 per year before taxes? Damn that's a lot. They just upped us to $800 from $500. Ours works a little different. It's put in escrow for each officer at our uniform supplier. Whenever you need something you go to the website and order it up. The scam (I recently found out) is if you don't use your share for the year the company just pockets your leftover allowance. Some Congressmans brother scammed a sweet contract there. Anyways we have new patches this year (go see the photo album in my profile for a pic) so I had to get new shirts. The jackets are expensive so I'll be sticking w/ the old patches on those. Not gonna replace them. Some of our stuff is extremely expensive. It would take a couple years to accumulate it. The extreme cold weather stuff for one. We have a leather jacket that ain't cheap. The dress jacket too. I ordered up two pair of shoes, 7 of those moisture wicking T's, 4 new shirts and a service pin. Not that you care, but I'm bored and sharing.
I have to wear a white shirt and it gets stained fast. We negotiate uniform allowances with every contract.
officers wear light blue, supervisors wear white. special units get to wear dark blue. I hate the white. I want the dark blue. But the city likes us in light blue and white since it is less intimidating. Our riot helmets or even baby blue.
We use shoulder boards to denote rank (based on the government GS series: 1 to 15). Mine looks like a warrant officer (gold and blue bar---GS-11). Roughly equivalent to a SGT. or LT in pay and duties. You guys have those checkerboard bus driver caps too right?
Havent you had light blue helmets for a long time. I seem to remember watching a video of the 60's riots and they had baby blue helmets. Are you an officer in Chicago? My cousin just married a police officer out in naperville.
