I've been here, with varying intensity, for about nine years. I frequented another forum for about a year before landing here (I won't mention any names). I'll put it this way: if TSD is Mayberry, the "other" place is Gothem.

This forum seems to have a more diverse set of topics, the last forum i visited seemed to have people who really only wanted to praise r41s, feathers and stirling soap, not that i dislike them, i enjoy stirling but have found razors and blades that work better for me then the above two. But its like a cult following. It seems more obscure products and topics are discussed here, and there is not many offended people. I just get a better vibe here.

Well, course we do have a few threads dedicated to Stoylin, but you're right...we talk about other shaving stuff, too.

We have fewer flame wars here than the other places. I am drama averse; that is why I come here. I don't even end up over at the other places unless I happen to do a search and that is the place it sends me.

What do you mean, "1970s"? That was the recent cover of Better Homes and Gardens (Canadian edition):lyrtuy5:. :scared007:

Here we go lol. Now no matter what review i give you have to follow it with "thats a great beginner razor, but once you get more experience you will want to switch to an r41", even after i tell you I have been DE shaving for 10 year and have owned an r41 for 4 years lol. And if for some reason i post a good review about my r41 you have to respond by saying the 2011 was a way better razor.
