Jim is right. Blackland DE razor to be released in mid to late June. Anticipated price is $99. There is a thread on DFS with some people reviewing the razor already.

 

I sold some stuff to make way for the new razors already. PayPal balance is ready and waiting on positive reviews before purchasing.

 

I am sticking my fingers in my ears, yelling at the top of my lungs, and not listening anymore...

 

MAYhem cool weekend shave

Proraso preshave soap
Cremo Cooling cream
SP→2 VS pure black badger
Suribachi bowl, cool water
Gillette NEW LC, Polsilver SI
Osage Rub AS, Proraso lotion
Stacked up a couple mentholated products for a summertime shave. Applied a bit more that usual preshave soap to see what it really feels like. While that was working it's ways into my beard, pores, and eyes
I tried to get the cream to lather in a bowl. No luck because the badger knot sucked it all up. Added water, squeezed the knot, added more water...nope. Been a while since I used Cremo. It works well as an aid to less slick soaps. On it's own is easy to apply, gives good glide, & the Cooling is well mentholated. It remains flat despite my efforts with a badger brush. Three passes and some clean up duty netted a nick on my chin and a smooth face. Finished with 2X more menthol, and a glass of minty iced tea.

This is the only pic I have for the day. It has been raining nonstop here for over 2 weeks and I’m going stir crazy, so today I organized my shave cabinet behind my mirror. It required “replanting” a number of soaps to smaller containers and AS to squirt bottles (which I prefer anyway). I still have 7 soaps and 5 AS bottles that don’t fit, so I’m pretty sure my next focus will be to start eating soap.

My wife says this organized cabinet looks like something a serial killer would do. I’m sure she meant that in the best possible sense of the expression, though.

Oh, and for those concerned about the empty razor spots I’m waiting on the Rex and the Karve, but there are still two spots open behind them.

Thanks to all of you guys. It’s a really weird feeling.

 

I don’t even really do DE’s anymore, but the Blackbird was such a fantastic razor, and Shane is such a cool guy, this one will likely get added.

Pretty impressive, Randy! You might inquire with some of the artisans about how to become a distributor. You could run a business with a stock like that.

Really cool shave. I think the Fatip razors are seriously underrated shavers.
