It’s a great picture. A D01 three band is really high on my list. Moreso even than a two band. As my brush collection grows, my appreciation for 3 Bands does too. I really want one of those.
May 28th Gillette NEW LC w Nacet Proraso Green Cream Finest Fan/ Maple Thayers TFS Mastro Miche AS Super 3 pass shave earlier this morning. Pulled the Proraso for ‘Menthol Monday’ and got a nice lather with this cream and this face-lathering machine of a brush. 3 passes with the NEW is almost unfair and I’m completely smooth. Have a great day all!
Awesome collections of vintage gear, Patrick. Beautiful photo, Clint, and an informative write up as well.
Another vacation shave - May 28, 2018 Schick J1 injector with Schick blade Stirling Grapefruit with menthol soap Omega synthetic brush Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill aftershave Stirling Glacial Unscented balm Easy shave. Nice results! About to go to lunch and then come back for more relaxing. Have a great day!
Thanks, Jared. The boar I initially put in this handle wasn't a knot I liked at all. I much prefer this Fan, which came from a Stirling handle.
Awesome shave Jason. Maybe i will pull out the Proraso green today also. Sounds like a very good shave there . How do you like the J1?
Memorial Day Razor: Blackbird OC Blade: Dorco ST301(4) Brush: RR Bruce Stirling mentholated pre shave Soap: JoHS Bay Rum Lucky Tiger face tonic AS: JoHS Bay Rum Good afternoon men! Great shaves and photos today! Been out in the yard this morning running drip lines to some new flower pots the wife bought so a little late on today's shave report. Two pass shave with touch up on my jaw and neck resulting in a wonderful shave. The JoHS soap performed great. I find the scent of the soap and aftershave nice although not a traditional bay rum in comparison to my other bay rum aftershaves. The primary scent I get is a sweet powdery smell more along the lines of a barbershop scent with the bay rum hiding in the background. Scent being subjective it may smell totally different to someone else. Fourth shave on the Dorco, it's done. Pretty tuggy on the ATG clean up. On to the next blade. Enjoy the rest of your day gentlemen! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks, Patrick! The J1 is a great little razor. Has a longer handle and is very light and easy to wield. I actually have two of them and so one remains in my dopp kit as the travel razor.
