Sorry Patrick, but 999 Superior Engineering & Razor Fabrication needs to come up with a model with an easier blade replacement before they see my cash! GREAT JOB!
Not sure you’re the one who needs to throw the Hail Mary, Patrick. Pretty sure you’re way ahead in the man of Steel category. However, far be it from me to stand between a man, his menthol, and a shiny razor.
Oh I'm not going to try that stuff !I was only ribbing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either . Works wonders on the sinus though .I'm quite content with my cohones as they are .Lol
I'm finding that out! The extra hours I've been working are going to slow down soon and so will my purchases. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
There may be a support group on here somewhere...i know theres one for backing you up if you make a purchase or cant decide which item to purchase. I think they call themselves enablers anonymous.

MAYhem 2018!!!!! May 28 Razor - Fatip Piccolo Blade - (2) Soap - Oleo Soapworks El Caballero Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum Whew! The long weekend is done. Busy place, could have been busier, but I'll take it. It felt good to finally get home tonight and get a nice relaxing and zen-like shave in. I picked up the Fatip with the Sharp Star still in it, loaded teh JR54 with El Caballero and went to work. This is a very cushy soap although I think a few beat it for slickness, but not many. No matter, as the shave was excellent with it tonight. The Fatip and Sharp Star took the first two passes with ease. Smooth, comfy, no issues. I started to do touch ups and decided nope - after 4 days of sales fury - I needed the third pass. Really face lathered a perfect final lather and took my time with ATG and some slide work on my neck to finish with a BBS and quiet alum. Mind calmed, left over scent making for a relaxing finish. Nice. We have three days left in MAYhem. Then on to Just the Basics June! Looking forward to a strong finish for the month and hope you all had a great extended weekend!
Tuesday shave: Starting to see the ring of death grow on this tub, I think it is time to fill the hole in and keep working it like it owes me money. The Raserpur western grind kami had nice edge and finished with an epic shave. The razor is easy to handle and the forging skin provides a great grip. Detour Week Day #6 Razor : Fatip Gold OC ( Blade: Astra Soap: Arko Brush: Rocky Mountain Balm / Aftershave : Speick / Farenheit A bit of a gap for me as I've been busy. The Fatip OC came in with a perfect shave and has done a couple of days running. I think of all of them it is easiest to use for me as it gives brilliant feedback (and lets you know if you get it wrong). The other Fatip did the business too and it really is close between them. The longevity count so far Merkur Futur - 3 pass shave and clean up lasted well to about 5pm, by later evening growth coming through. Post shave alum felt good. Muhle R41 -3 pass shave and clean up, felt good up to abut 7ish. Post shave alum a bit tingly in places Merkur 33C - 3 pass shave. Lasted to 5sih maybe a little longer. Post shave alum was spot on Ottoman - 3 pass shave. Lasted through to 5ish but a tiny bit rougher at 5pm than the 33C Fatip Gentile - 3 pass shave, face comfortable after the shave which lasted through to late evening in terms of comfort Fatip OC - 3 pass shave , no alum sting post shave, lasted the longest of all (had a day off since there wasn't much to do though that meant a lumberjack look on the non shave day). What is nice with this razor is that a 2 pass and tiny touch up gives me a good "shave for the day" , the three pass leaves me perfect all over but two is perfect on a daily basis. I've read that Joris "improved" the head, I don't see what they could have but ever these things are YMMV. Hope everyone has great day. No pics from me today as that li'l Fatip has been all over this thread
I saw that! Good luck from one idio...to another . I really liked your choice of weapon yesterday. Good show !
May 29, 2018 Wolfman SS WR1 OC .61 Blade Gap Feather Simpson CH2 Synthetic Fine Italian Citrus Even long weekends come to an end. The CH2 Synthetic is my favorite synthetic brush by far. It feels the most like a dense badger brush and is a lather making machine. The downside of the CH2 is that it eats soap hence the name "Soap Destroyer". Given my current soap inventory that is not necessarily a bad thing. Sticking with a 2 pass shave of ATG followed by XTG is proving to be a winning formula with both Wolfman razors. After touch ups along my jawline and buffing my lower neck, I caught the baby but did end up with one weeper. A splash of Fine Italian Citrus and I am ready for a busy day ahead. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
This morning I actually finished something in my den. Unfortunately it was just a sample of Mickey Lee - The Kracken, and was immediately replaced by another sample in my closet, but hey I'm making progress on my mission of "soap reduction" in the den (even if it is only one tiny sample at a time). Anyway, this is a great soap with a nice clean scent, and inspired me to pick up the straight and the Shavemac D01. Wall of badger, some scritch. Very different feel than my other knots. Still trying to decide if it has a permanent spot in the rotation, but for right now, the variety it provides gives it a spot on the shelf. Still haven't cracked the code to proper stubble reduction on my neck with the straight. However, I am realizing that any "irritation" I feel must be a function of improper angle or too much pressure, so I'm focusing on those aspects of the shave and hoping the neck situation will get better. Very little irritation today as a result. Wax on, wax off.
