  8. OK, guys, I am back to the present. I got this in today.

Advertised as: Vintage Gillette The Tech Razor Set in box with paper and extra blades.
I knew it was really a Black Tip SS in a Gillette Tech box. Also, unopened Gillette Thin Blades (5), and SHA=VE=ZEE single edge blades (unused individually wrapped in waxed paper, 12). The SE blades were manufactured by International Safety Razor Corporation. I was surprised to see the SE blades as they were not a part of the listing. You can see the original post here.

I took this picture after I cleaned the razor. It is a W4. It had a Gillette Blue Blade in it, X2. It looked like it was in pretty good shape. However, it went in with my used blades.

  14. 1912 refers to the model, specifically the patent date. This particularly style of razor was made well into the 1940s.

  16. Received my unknown German razor and it definitely a weird razor. The handle is substantial, awesome and seems like made specifically for this head.. no swapping handles for me. The head design is cool, that’s where it gets weird. The cap is light so must be pot metal and it has sharp points.. the base plate seems pot metal as well with the guards having a sharp edge to them. So the weird part seems to be it’s design is cool.. seems well made... but lacked quality control and smooth out the edges.

The last picture is handle comparison to a ball end old type handle. ..
