Do you have any other Declaration Grooming soaps to compare it to, Joseph? I’m wondering if you can separate out the CL scent from the soap base for sure.
Is there a similar scent in the AS?
    Very nice pic, regardless!

I like my new Razorock Acqua soap. I didn't load too well, so I couldn't FULLY appreciate it. Whenever I have a crummy load, my 2nd pass becomes my "hero". I can do better than today. But the face-feel of the Acqua is real nice. Course I'll be trying it with different brushes, different aftershaves, and presumably better swirls.

My confidence in trying Mystic Water(4 Men)just got shot a bit, as she charges $7.00 for shipping, if I read it correctly. That ranks right up there with that of Clubman's site. I still like the choices, and the fact that she returned my e-mail question on the same day. But that's a lot for shipping, IMO.

If you limit your order to samples or one tub/refill buy it on the Samples page to reduce the shipping charge. Otherwise order several soaps at once to spread the $7 over a larger purchase.

Thanks Jason. This is my first and only DG/CL soap/as that I have had. Also, not having any experience with Bison Tallow, it's difficult for me to make any comparisons. I do have a few lavender scented soaps and AS's, so I am not unfamiliar with the scent itself. Scents are so subjective, what smells like BO to me make smell like roses to you. You never know.

I don’t have any real focus in mind for the month, I’m so happy to shave at home, I’m just like a kid in a candy store.

    -Gillette Black Beauty
    -Mondial Boar
    -Stirling Sandalwood Soap and AS

Had to shave quickly and run yesterday, so a shavestick to the face and scrubbed it up with the Mondial. It’s a really nice boar, but the knot is kind of small for a shave stick style face lather, in that it is hard to get enough lather worked into it for that third pass. It’s a great knot though, and after only a few lathers, has a similar feel to my old Semogue 830. It even has that gnarly, wet roadkill look to it.

    -Soapy Science Hannalei (“1231 Tester”)

When Soapy Science offered up some tubs of scents they were working on at $12.31, I jumped on one. This soap is what turned into Hannalei, albeit a slightly milder version of the scent; orange, patchouli and ylang ylang, in a scent that has depth, but is light enough to feel like summer. I am becoming more and more of a fan of what they have cooking here. This soap is definitely a top tier performer. I also like that she’s working on scent development pretty diligently.
