Thank you for that, Clint. Since I'm known to make my soaps last a pretty long time,(as I'm sure many do), that does indeed make it worth it. Do you and Wade buy from the regular site, or from the "Mystic Water 4 Men" section?. I don't recall Jeff's Lavender being in the 4 Men.

All the shaving soaps are ordered on the 4 men section. I just checked and Jeff's Lavender is listed.

Right, OK. Michelle has some pretty classic choices there.

Everything was basic, except the finish!
    Beautiful blade, Keith!
Fantastic photo, Clint! I'm glad you are enjoying the New SC! I'm not shy about saying that it is my favorite Gillette DE!
Fantastic setup Jim! Interesting handle on the Chatsworth!
    Man that's a shiny New!!

Thank you Andrew. I have SS and Slim from my birth year that I really don't enjoy using. Honestly, I have not tried a TTO razor I like. I enjoyed the New LC and only sold it to fund another purchase. I like the SC better than the LC.

Already to far behind to catch up. I am almost always with the basics gear. I will pick up a VDH or some such razor to use too. Mostly always use Dorco blades from the Dollar Sto so that is covered. Viva La Revolution!! The basic guys are taking over......

I haven't experienced lather issues with Mystic Water either. I found it to be a very nice soap.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Personna Chrome
    Razor: Schick E2 injector
    Brush: Artisan badger
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
Post: Witch hazel, Epsilon Blue Mediterranean aftershave

Bit of a rough shave this morning. First of all, Wilson was running around like a loon and we were going to meet my wife's aunt for lunch. So we were rushing to get ready some and it affected the shave. Went too fast and got several weepers. This razor isn't all that smooth to me like the other Schicks. It needs time and attention. Lesson learned.

Good news is that the Jeeves soap is on its last legs. It's been a fun time using it to extinction.

    Have a great day!

Nice photo and report, Joseph. I have Mystic Water Irish Traveler and don't find it difficult to lather. It's not a full tub (my CT doesn't allow me to own full pucks ) but in my little use with it I haven't detected difficulty in lathering.

Same thing with Mitchell's Wool Fat. I was anxious to use it because I had heard it was so difficult to lather. Now I use it once a week and have never had problems lathering it. Goes to show you we need to use the products and form our own opinions.

    @PickledNorthern, @clint64, @Boojum1, @BaylorGator, and maybe some others.

What are the scents like for Soapy Science. I looked at them last night and would've chosen Doc's Special Blend if I were going to order. I'm not too big on citrusy soaps and have that area covered pretty well by Stirling.

I also thought about getting the unscented soap.

Anyway, what are your takes on the scents? I can see from all of your rave reviews that the soap performance is outstanding.
