    RazoRock Game Changer
    GSB
    Arko
    Yaqi Boar (24mm, Frigate class)
    Baxter Of California ASB

This is probably the most "basic" shave that you'll see out of me this month. I decided to give the Yaqi Boar one more chance to redeem itself (because it was such an awesome match for the photo), but alas I't wasn't meant to be. The total lack of backbone (from a boar brush mind you) makes using this brush disappointing. It also shed about 10 bristles too, which was annoying. It did however whip up the Arko into a Super slick lather, which I guess is really its primary job, but one should enjoy the process. The Game changer with the GSB was a fantastic pairing and I though I was headed for an epic shave but post shave inspection found a patch of skin on my right cheek that wasn't totally smooth, weird.

Have a great day my friends!

Thank you, Clint. To be honest, I have never used the Proraso soap in a tub. I only have this cream.

Thank you, Andrew. The Polar Ice is the only Booster product I have. I’ve thought about the Mosswood as well.

Awesome photo and write up, Clint. I’m getting the Karve, it is just a matter of whether I hold out until the end of the year or not.

Cool photo, Andrew. You don’t see too many tubs of Arko- is there a difference between the tub and the common stick?

They are exactly the same, even the soap is the same putty like consistency. My initial though when buying the tub was that I would refill it with the sticks when I ran out. Now I realize that this tub of soap will last forever. The small diameter of the tub is also less then ideal for loading.

At this stage in my life, I kinda like the "friendly people" thing......that's what I felt during my Utah trip that featured Best Friends Animal Society(a huge shelter in southwest Utah, close to Arizona)-everyone I encountered there was friendly.

Razor: Gillette Standard 160 Goodwill (New LC-based)
    Blade: 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless (4)
    Brush: 30DC LE/Pure Badger
    Soap: FrankenMarvy
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

I have a New SC head coming later this week. It's a razor that I've never used before, so it seemed like a good time to revisit the other New razors that I have. Yesterday's shave was with the New LC and today's was with the New LC-based Goodwill 160. I can't complain about either shave though today's seemed a bit harsher and not quite as close. My assumption is that the 7 O'Clock Indian Green may be one of those blades which, for me, is more a a "3 and done" blade. (FWIW, it have the same opinion of some of the Rapira blades.)

    Hello everyone.

My Bride and I just returned from a trip to Italy. We had a great time, but we returned early as my Dear Mom fell ill. She is in Hospice care, and we are spending most of our time with her now. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Recent shaves have been with my Trac II (good) and are currently with my R41 (better). I have been checking on things here periodically. I consider you all part of my extended family, and it's good to come 'home.'
