An El-Jefe head on an MR-5 handle from @Kypros Christodoulides. It'll be my first razor with these SE style blades.

 

Won myself a black Alumagoose from Maggard last Saturday. I couldn't be there this year unfortunately because my oldest girl's high school graduation ended up being the same day. (What WERE they thinking?) But I got an email Monday telling me I'd won. It should be arriving tomorrow.

 

Anyone experiencing longer than normal transit times, and/or lack of scans, especially in SE CONUS?

 

eBay is having one of their 20% off everything sales...short handle Blackbird. Because how can I evaluate my poor man's Blackbird without the real deal. That's my story. Also hoping the short handle will fit the 1912.

 

Picked up a very sweet '47 Super-Speed and a new tub of B&M Seville.

 

Maybe it will fit that new German razor I recently got......

I think the baseplate is more the issue, but there are reports on other threads/forums of Windrose and Charcoal handles fitting so I remain hopeful.

 

If you and the Bird don't get along let me know, I've been on SSRAD kick lately. I just picked up a Wunderbar of a BST that should be here this week and of course I have the Rex coming from the group buy that should be shipping this week also.

 

I can't imagine not getting along....more a matter of how much more I'll like it than my cheap Simplex and Conrad Frankenrazors with similar heads.

 

Last week Georgetown Pottery accidentally sent me a G12 scuttle instead of the G20 that I ordered. I sent them an email to inform them after it was after closing time when I called to tell them. However after seeing the size of the G12 I decided to keep it and emailed back telling them that I would just keep the G12. They replied and told me they would credit the 5 dollar difference and send me something a little extra. They ended up sending me a complimentary lid for G12. I'm very impressed with the G12 so far and with Georgetown Pottery's customer service.

I first bought it on our honeymoon 27 years ago, but when we move to Africa a few years back; gave it away.

 

During this year, scans seem to be missing or reported late. Sometimes I get my package just when the scans are fully updated.

 

Just got the same, for me and YMMV, the D plate is good enough, the E as good but needs a bit more caution.A great razor for the price and comparable to way more expensive ones.

 

I've found pure GOLD!! Coming soon another 44 unopened packages of Gillette Super Stainless (Spoiler) 15 blades per pack that's 660 blades in total plus another 150 I've ordered that comes to a grand total of 810 blades of spoilers, no more DE blades for good it over I'm fully stocked up until I rest in peace.
