I believe most, if not all, of these groups are offshoots of the "He-Man Woman Haters Club". All kinds of groups split off after they were forced by law to admit women.
Not at all. Success and prowess breed contempt in those who haven't mastered said game. It happens over and over. Rather than realistically examine one's own ability, it is easier to blame the other players; when in fact it's the game that is winning.
Any subjectively judged endeavor like musical skill or artistic ability would seem to magnify the hater effect. Objective things, like bench press weight or vertical jump are easier to accept and move on from. (I play hobby bass guitar, played trombone as a kid. I couldn't imagine trying to be a pro. Music is HARD. Much respect)
