SHAVE OF THE DAY


Prep: Shower with Aduvardic Sandalwood bath soap, pre shave soap mix
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Lord SS
Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
Soap: Ellegant Rose- English Rose
Post: Lisa's Natural Somali Rose Balm



Have a lot of other soaps in the queue, but this one stood out from the last time I used it. Lather quality is bordering on amazing, especially for a somewhat unknown artisan. Scent is reminiscent of WK Chypre Rose Concerto (which is a good thing) and the lather also has that shiny quality to it. Got a bit of sunburn from yesterday's trip to the beach, so was worried my skin wouldn't like shaving, but no issue whatsoever. The lather actually felt soothing on tender skin. I will most certainly be looking into other scents from Ellegant Rose, the lather from this stuff could rival most popular artisans IMO which is pretty impressive. Post shave feel is just what the doctor ordered. Finished off with Lisa's Natural Somali Rose to keep up with the theme, smells a bit like baby powder but all her products I have tried have top notch ingredients and one of the best quality/price ratios in wet shaving IMO. After the Featherweight yesterday I'd thought I'd use it's sibling, the G-Bar.
A very nice, relaxed, three pass Sunday morning shave, although the blade on only it's fourth use is finished.

Best shave yet with the Parthenon. Tossed the Feather from the last shave and decided on trying a Parker blade that I received as a thank you from a vendor. Not as sharp as a Feather, but very smooth and forgiving. They paired really well together. With everything else, just a sublime shave and post shave feel. Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the PAL Injecto-Matic. Marvelous lather from the Wickham shave soap. I finished with Old Spice. Enjoy your day friends. ☺

 

Hubris or just stupid
I used the Vision with Iridium for the first time, and I foolishly went wide open for the first pass, resulting in several weepers, and one pretty good chunk taken from my cheek. It was two days growth so I thought it would be ok, oh well at least it's close after only two passes, and o smell good thanks to WSP, which goes nicely with Roam.

Despite the Astra blade being on its 7th and last day it gave me a great shave, albeit with a little effort especially during the 2nd pass. Needless to say the Lemon Cream lathered like a champ and I enjoyed its scent very much. The Fino is one of the best balms I ever used. (Thanks again so much Dave!)

Route 66 Lavender Woods today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11/TGN 2-Band Finest brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” NEW Chromium still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Classic Fougere aftershave.

A nice, smooth, close, shave. With 2 passes, WTG/ATG some clean up. I think the Blue Proraso, as opposed to the Green, has left me with a small amount of irritation. I ordered Green twice and got blue and red. I`ll try the red tomorrow. Any suggestions. Something with a cooling effect? otherwise I`m well satisfied with this morning`s outcome. Happy camper and God be with each of you.
