Great shaves and photos today! I really enjoy reading all the posts and seeing all the pictures. Wonderful two pass with touch up. Not much of a report tonight, nothing new to add. I do have a new brush and razor in the mail, hoping they'll be here for a Father's day shave. Have a good night fellas! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Just the Basics June/Just for Fun June - take your pick June 12 Razor - 1947 Gillette Super Speed Blade - (2) Soap - Soap Commander Honor Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum I don't know how to make a shave any smoother or faster. Could they have named the Super Speed because of how fast it can provide a great shave? Perhaps? Maybe? Well, of course, it's the guy operating the razor that makes the magic happen but with this gear it's easy to do. The Soap Commander took about 3 seconds to load and lather with the JR54 and the Rapira blade was smooth as grease. No issues at all. BBS in two passes and a tiny bit of touch up. Seriously - this may be the minimalist setup I've been looking for, or at least a contender. As for the scent of the soap, I like it. Not as strong as some barbershop inspired scents, but a very nice scent. That now makes Fortitude, Vision and Honor that I've trialed in the past week. Of the three I think Fortitude would make the cut for my collection. Vision and Honor are not out of contention, but Fortitude was just a bit more to my liking. All fantastic soaps, however. Long day today as I spent it in the company of the Regional Director. He was using the store for his office today so it was a long day of discussions and just dealing with another person all day. I see a potential early night tonight. Hope you all had a great day!
Basically that is what I shoot for...now get off my Lawnnnn. Meh... The original was better. I still have a few tubs of it. Lol
Monday June 12 - sort of drugstore Gillette SensorExcell (10) / Trac II (2) Jason's non - 30DC cypress badger brush Godrej Shaving Cream Lucky Tiger I last shaved on Thursday and hadn't checked the thread since then, so today I had four days' stubble and 15 pages of posts to mow through. I took care of the stubble; the posts are tonight's project. My first stroke WTG on my cheek showed me that the SensorExcell cart was no longer sharp enough to handle this degree of stubble without tugging painfully. I switched to the Trac II with one shave on it, and things went much smoother. Two passes to a DFS; Lucky Tiger provided its usual pleasant orange-smelling finish.
I stand corrected. Hadn’t heard about this, and I don’t even see it on their website. Andrew @Linuxguile already insinuated that I am losing my memory, I guess this cements that theory.
Changing up the aftershave this morning still using the fat pairing it with some old spice. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
