Finally broke out the soap I was fortunate enough to win in the last TSD raffle,
the Valobra Fougère, so graciously donated
    by @Keithmax
Normally, with a triple-milled soap, I grate it and press it back into the container or into an aftermarket container,
but today I chose to load right from the virgin puck. (Yes @wchnu I wetted the puck whilst showering)
Going with the Mondial, I wanted to be able to really "dig" into the puck and that I did.
While I have never used a Valobra soap, (I really have, seeing that I have experience with Czech & Speake, as well as the AoS Tallow soaps)

performance was exactly what I expected. But what I didn't expect was the powerful fougère scent.
    Boom, in your face!
    (Literally and figuratively)
The 7 O'Clock blade in the D3 Fatboy (set to 7) proved to be still very smooth and sharp.
    Buffing galore.
Naturally, I had to finish this awesome shave with the most iconic of fougère scents: Vintage Brut Lotion.
    I am smelling......really good. :)

    Behind again......

I picked up a nice looking Auto Strop A1 from the bay. First use of it yesterday just blew me away. Might be as good as my lather catchers. I was so surprised that I was almost speechless in the video . First use of Stirling Spice too. Veddy nice stuff.

Another great photo and review. Sadly you’ve just caused me to add another soap to my must try list.

The Stirling badgers would be tough to beat in the sub $100 range. It's a joy to use. I need to pick up one of the bulb-shaped badgers, and maybe one of their boars...

    Razor: Rex Ambassador
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: JR 151
    Pre shave: Stirling mentholated
    Soap: Stirling Satsuma
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: Fine Italian Citrus

Good morning men! I hope everyone is well this fine Saturday!

Shave two with the Rex, settings 3,2,1. Truly fantastic shave! Three passes with touch up left me BBS with no irritation.
I have to be honest, I was looking past the Rex to my next razor. I wanted an adjustable in my rotation but I was thinking of it as a novelty. The best shaves I've had so far have been the last two.
With the razor set at 1 the effective cutting angle is very narrow forcing good technique, which shows, although greatly improved, my technique still needs work with my other razors. The Rex is a razor with training wheels. YMMV.
Love the Stirling Satsuma! Definitely getting the full sized tub when the sample runs out.
Have a great weekend gentlemen! [IMG]

I'm not very good at describing scents but I get a sweet, candy like citrus smell with more complex notes in the background.
    From the Stirling website:

"The sweetness of mandarins mixed with a little oriental spices makes this scent robust and intoxicating. You can't help but to keep coming back to smell it."

I don’t use very many DE blades anymore, and both my son and I have our preferred blades that we pretty much use solely. So the first guy who wants them and PMs me, can have all of the ones we aren’t going to use.
