Saturday night was my first shave with the REX and it impressed. I shaved before bed and when I woke up was still BBS!

Tonights shave was with a smaller one, from the USA. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. This one reminded me to pay attention to the tip. It bit me good. Funny thing was, I didn't feel a thing, but it was a bleeder. Oh well, "Chicks Dig Scars", just not my wife.

Razor- Norvell-Shapleigh No35 "SNAP". St Louis-Germany.
Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple. WD High Mountain Badger
Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
AfterShave- Pinaud Lime Sec.

PAA The Wow Signal soap, Klenzo B75 vintage bristle brush, Gillette adjustable razor, set on seven, and loaded with a Rockwell Swedish steel blade, Cella aftershave.

Those bristles do a number on the PAA soap - it's like bringing a gun to a fist fight, they just dominate, and there's no chance you're not gonna get a great lather.

Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Concord (1st shave)
Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
Soap: Shannon's Pineapple Banana
Post: Dr. Jon's Conquest A/S


Perfect shave yesterday. First time with these Concord blades, they are nice and smooth. Haven't done any research into this brand, but first impression this may become my go to blade, only time will tell. The Shannon's soap smells like a fruit explosion, made a creamy lather, and no burning that can sometimes be a issue with these scents. Finished off with Dr. Jon's Conquest to add a little masculine strawberry to the fruit theme.



Prep: hot bath with Epson salt & lavender EO
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Concord (2nd shave)
Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
Soap: Victory Shaving Champaign Lady
Post: Stirling Arkadia Balm


Decided to take a calming bath before today's shave, it was nice and relaxing after a recent hectic schedule. Victory Shaving is a top notch soap, nice and hard so it will last a while, and the lather has all the qualities one would look for. Champaign Lady is lavender, lemon and menthol, the menthol level is mild but blends great with this refreshing scent. Another excellent shave with this Concord shave and so far this blade has been surprisingly great, will see how longevity goes. Finished off with Stilling Arkadia balm. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Thanks Doug. I've got a new one rolling out tomorrow morning. There is a bath soap on the way to match the set, but I cannot wait for the shipping. I'm going to war against the stubble with the set I have and not the set I'd like to have.
