This hair came out right after this picture. It was literally bent in half, so I can only assume it was never really glued into the knot.
Another Best Western, traveler edition: The Kent Silertex is a brush that really reminds me of the Simpson Classic 1 Synth. Load these stiff little synths to their limit, and they become soft and full as you could hope for.
And another Tuesday at the Best Western... This Vie Long Horse/Badger mix is a brush I tried out of sheer curiosity, and after a few uses, I’m still not 100% sure what I think of it. It’s like it improves on either a Pure Badger or a high lofted horse in terms of backbone, but doesn’t quite round out the experience. It still has some serious “pokers” in there. It’s like very good pure, or meh best badger. It has more backbone than most horses I’ve tried excepting short lofted whites. It wasn’t an expensive brush, maybe $20 shipped from Gifts and Care, but my recommendation is a “Don’t Buy” for collectors with smaller inventory or budget, and a “Buyer Beware” for guys who want to try it on a lark.
That's funny. My Thäter Premium Boar had more than its share of those "pokers" Thanks Jared, the bloom on a three band can be humongous!
