Beautiful new razor, Keith! I suggest at least 4 new EdTs to go with it... you are probably running low:happy088:
    What a great, simple photo!
Sounds like another winning gift from your girls, Clint. They certainly try to keep you well outfitted. Pity you are thinking of moving that razor along, it is a real looker.
You've been working away on that English Fern for a while, Jim. Any sign of the end of it?
Congrats on the first straight shave, Andrew! Using the Palmolive stick is always a good idea, fwiw.
    Awesome pic and write-up, Joseph.
George Lazenby! I think he was given a bum rap for a while. Not his fault his Bond script had him crying over the loss of his Bond girl (they die? since when?) and wearing a kilt 'incognito'. Not sure what he smelled like, though.

    Thanks Jason,
Diana Rigg, second ONLY to Honor Blackman as far as Bond girls go. Interesting that Blackman preceded Rigg in The Avengers as well.

That could start a debate, I would suspect!
Interestingly, Honor Blackman was five years older than Sean Connery at the time, and didn't look like Bond's daughter as some of the Roger Moore era actresses did.
I'd nominate Daniela Bianchi (From Russia with Love) for a place near the top as well. Didn't even know until maybe 10 years ago that her voice was dubbed, though. Apparently her English wasn't very good.

Outstanding!! Did I read right that there was no blood except where you cut yourself. well that IS a good thing

Adding menthol is fine you know.

Ahh. No caution. I laught at danger... and I do not need as many face products as my ex wife uses when I shave.

Thanks Fuzzy! You are correct, the only blood that was spilled was from the unintentional removal of a piece of skin from the corner of my lip.

It is the shave stick that never ends. I thought it would be gone by now, but still quite a bit left. I must use a lot less soap when I use a stick than out of a tub.

Seriously, I can make it with two products and still feel like I got a good shave: a soap or cream and some unrefined shea butter. The shea butter is girly, but it does make the old kisser feel better.

@PickledNorthern uses one of his Simpson brushes for a powder puff, but we don't talk about that.

I hope you are doing well, Fuzzy.

Thank you Jared. The backstory does make the soap even more appealing to me. Even without the backstory, the soap just flat works for me.

Great shave Primo. It reminds me of my father. Not sure he used Williams but he certainly soaked the brush and soap in his shaving mug before shaving. Generally I do the same now.

Thank you Andrew. It is a thin common bar handle on the New. It is really small to me. I did try some of my modern handles and they fit just fine.

Wonderful warm photo Jason. The L'Orange Noir is one of my favorite Fine aftershave scents. The soap is close but not quite the same as the aftershave.

Thank you Jason. I make sure I send the girls a list with links on what I would like to have. :D I don't always get items off the list but it does help more often than not. I am enjoying the DE New SC but don't see it being a razor I reach for instead of some of my others. I will likely keep it for a change of pace razor.

I can and did use just use a shaving cream during my trip. On a daily basis, I prefer to add witch hazel and/or an aftershave of EDT. They are not required but do add to the shave for me.

Wednesday June 20 - just shaving

    Gillette Trac II (5)
    Simpsons CH2 Synthetic brush
    Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample
Alum and Jeeves Cherry Blossom splash

My usual two passes today left me with a DFS closer to the CCS than BBS end of the spectrum. I also noticed the cartridge was getting clogged and wouldn't rinse clear easily. So I pitched it at the end of the shave. I will move on from carts to something else tomorrow - probably back to my Supply Co. Injector loaded with a Personna that I was endurance testing. I have either 19 or 20 shaves on the blade now; I will have to go back and check which it is...

I suspect this sample will last me through to the end of the month, which is okay because it's a pretty good soap. I don’t know that I like it enough to put on my future buy list, but I certainly don’t mind using it until it's gone.

I used the Jeeves Cherry Blossom splash just because. The face feel is great but I don't think the scent is my favourite -- it seems almost sickly sweet to me. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for it today.

Hope the week is going well for everyone as we reach the hump...
