  1. My early E2 that opens is simply a beast. Really. You feel on edge the whole time your shaving. My later E2 that does not open is very much like my G1's. I think it can very razor to razor. Expect blade feel and a outstanding shave!!

  3. Sound's like the E model might shave like my Pal Injectomatic, it shave's fairly aggressive and you have to pay attention when you use it.

  4. My injecto matic is pretty mild feeling. Great razor though. It will be fun seeing how it goes for you!!

After yesterday's mediocre shave with the L1 I needed my faith in injectors restored and the Pal was just the thing.
I love the S_J Panga Panga brush, Steven delivered exactly what I asked for and the quality of the knot is superb.
    Have a good Sunday.

  7. The E2 that opens up is IMHO a lot more Aggressive than the PAL. I find that use of a Schick Proline blade calms down both Razors a lot.

  8. Lol. Why would anyone want to calm down a great razor?

  10. Its a better Razor with a Proline Blade than a Chick, well for me anyway. Some people write off the E2 as they find its aggressiveness a bit intimidating. Similar situation with the PAL Injecto Matic.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, I am not officiating today and will be enjoying a Traditional English Roast, with a glass of Wine too. Just thought the Roast might not go down too well if our guests were from your side of the pond, as its Lamb. Though in our time overseas we have converted a few American friends to liking it.

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Semogue SOC
    TNNSER Razor
    GEM CS SE
    CWR
    Thayers Peach WH
    Florida Water

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Semogue SOC brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER Razor with a Pal CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Tell ya what, you guys sort it out..I'm a Studebaker guy. I presume first gear in the H-M @chevyguy was a low gear with 2nd gear start like my Hawk and the Ford-o-matic..

  13. My instructors back in auto tech school called it a slide-a-matic because you barely felt them shift. Studebaker's are cool. I liked and miss Oldsmobiles, and Pontiac's.

  14. My only GM cars were a 67 Malibu and and 68 Caprice, and well the ancient Hawk design I enjoyed so much more than either of those. I looked at putting the 700-R4 in the Studebaker but too expensive a proposition.

  15. I would like to upgrade my 87 3/4 ton 4x4 to the newer 5.3 engine and 4-speed transmission. Replacement parts are starting to become hard to find for my TH-400 and I would like a little better fuel mileage. I saw a 79 K-20 with the 5.3 swapped in and it had plenty of power, plus 18-19 mpg on the freeway with 35-inch tires.

Good morning friends. Excellent three pass shave today with the Schick N1 fitted with a twin blade. Marvelous lather from the Arko shave stick. I finished with Old Spice... smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

  17. Cool SOTD pic. Will a twin blade fit in the Pal Injectomatic?.

  18. Thanks Clayton and no it will not without damaging it. Fortunately it's such a good razor that it doesn't need one. :happy088:

  19. With the Injectomatic just being a tad aggressive I just thought a twin blade might smooth things out a bit. At 3am with my G model Schick I don't even really feel the blade, but with my Pal I have to pay attention or it will nick me on my neck, or under my nose. Too bad it won't fit.

  20. I agree 100 % ! These old E type Razors, especially the used ones [I have never used a E that still had the dummy blade/virgin razo] they all are unique, the ones that OPEN for cleaning are more aggressive than the ones that do not open. I have 4 type E's and they all shave different, the all have different bends and angles, and that is from years of usage - years of storage - years of being stuffed in drawers, back in the day the original owners were NOT polishing them, taking pictures, and Insane like we are - haha... but, all these bends and bangs - give it its own unique shave - aggression and feel - and I personally love that! I have been lucky to acquire many later -virgin/dummy blade razors - but the used ones are just great... --Jamie
