I noticed several members of the 30DC crew are exploring lavender options, so this one is for you. A best buy in Lavender EDTs is Pour Un Homme De Caron. It is predominately lavender and reminds me of By Killian A Taste of Heaven for a fraction of the price.

Ok, boys and girls, I think I'm back. First of all, for info on the meetup, I just posted what I have in the MEETUP THREAD. I'm talking to the restaurant (Hendrick's BBQ, one of the top places) about times for us to get together to stuff our faces and have some social time. It will require a deposit so I need to know how many to expect to see what they can do. They have a few options. PLEASE RSVP ASAP if you are attending.

As for the thread here, thank you so much for keeping things moving in my semi-absence. I've tried to keep my eye on it but things have been crazy, or at least a bit out of the ordinary. How to explain. Hmmmmm.....well, let's mention first of all that I am being moved from my current store in Wentzville to a store in St. Charles. The St. Charles store is bleeding red ink and I've been named the designated manager to save it. Wish me luck. It's been mismanaged for a couple of years and it will be a challenge. With sales down overall in the industry trying to pull off a turnaround will take some doing. I won't actually take over until July 4, but the process and meetings to decide what they were doing have taken a toll.

I've also taken a second "job" in the past couple of weeks to try and fill some money gaps due to slower than expected sales as things turn around, which they will. Say hello to your friendly Uber/Lyft contact in O'Fallon, Missouri. I've been working it mostly weekend nights with a few runs on my day off. It has potential, but does tie up late nights over the weekend.

Finally, my recent change in doctors and meds has taken its toll as I've had to focus a lot more on healthy stuff. Things like a whole new diet, an exercise program, and overcoming some side effects of the meds. I'm happy to report I'm down 17 pounds from a couple of months ago, my blood sugar is running in the target range they set for m e, my blood pressure is normal and I'm no longer screaming in my sleep or kicking my lovely wife out of bed from the totally out there dreams. I'm a whole new man. Well, ok, so not really but I'm better, so they tell me.

As for the shaves - I've been keeping it really simple. Take a look.

I've been keeping it basic with the VDH soap, Tech and boar brush, and keeping it fun with the Fatboy and Sterling Iced Coffee. I LOVE that soap. Voskhod blades in both just because they're Voskhod.

Nice to have some time to get back into the 30 Day Kremlin and make sure the Cartel is functioning! I doubt I'll get caught up but I'll keep up again at this point. Don't forget - we're about 10 days away from CINCO de JULIO!! Get those popsicle sticks ready boys!

Well I had a pretty good day today, work went well and a got a few things. First I was allowed to join the family of the JROC. It's a beautiful baby (brush) that I was allowed to adopt, I'm so excited for it to arrive! I also received a Supply One Edge V2 in jet black in the mail today that I can't wait to try out. Today I shaved with my One Edge V1 and got a really good shave with it. One pass with the grain using my Route 66 Sweeney Todd again. It's always good for a quick shave before having to go to work. finished off with a cold water rinse and my alum. and lastly some Sweeney Todd aftershave balm to finish everything off. I wonder if the new V2 will shave any better than the V1. I find myself graduating more to the single edge razors than the DE razors but I still love my Gillette FatBoy with a Sharp Star or Voshkod blade or any of # of the fine Russian blades! I'm so excited to get my new brush, it's called the Puzzler made from Louisville slugger Ash with a synthetic knot. It was born (made) in June I chose it because I love baseball, and my Birthday is June 27th. Well here it is or at least a picture of it, I can;t wait to try it out for the first time!

Up and moving pretty early this morning. The C&E West Indian Lime lathered easily enough but I was just off today. The lather was too airy and not very slick enough at all. However, two passes and touch ups ended with my normal near perfect shave. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am off for a long commute. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Welcome back, Neal! I thought I would miss a lot of action by missing a few days here, but that is nothing compared to the changes you seem to have going on. Congrats on the weight loss and health improvements! I hope the store changes go well for you. Sounds like they think a lot of you to give you that challenge. Either that or you did something wrong and are being punished. :signs002:

    June 26 SOTD:

    Razor: Razorock Hawk V2
    Blade: Feather AC Professional Super
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli
    Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

A nice shave this morning with my first use of Declaration Grooming. I'll use it a few more times before final judgement, but it seems good. The soap and AS scents are well matched and open with a fruity scent followed up by the rose. The Patchouli is definitely in the background. All in all a nice shave to start my Tuesday. I hope everyone has a great day!
