Probably THE hardest soap in my arsenal is the Figaro Sapone. This is the original P-160, BTW.
Triple-milled made EVEN harder, because I grated it and pressed it into this container.
So, you could legitimately call this a quadruple-milled soap.
Scent-wise, it still has a faint almond-ish aroma; not to be confused with the much sweeter, marzipan aroma that Boellis or Cella sport.
Even if I were to use this soap daily, I could probably get 300 shaves out of this tub. In a rotation? I'll never use it up.
Lathered up with the Rooney and this is one sweet brush. The hair is designated Super-Badger and
the 24mm knot is very luscious and soft, with a fair amount of backbone.
Decided to take all of the facial
hair off. Mustache and goatee. Without trimming, the Perma Sharp, loaded in the Gillette New LC, mowed the hair down like it was peach fuzz. Impressive. No tugging at all. Whenever I would do this with the old 5-blade carts,
it was a painful, pulling experience.
The Floïd made a great finish to the new bare-naked face.

Andrew, there was a smoky haze flowing through Golden during my last full day there, so I stayed in the air-conditioned hotel most of that day. They said it probably came from a Silverton fire.

    Rex Ambassador(4)
    Dorco ST-301
    Cella of Hagen Street
    Stirling Boar(24mm, Friagte Class)
Baxter Of California Shave Tonic and ASB

Another absolutely superb shave with the REX. Swapped out the blade for a new Dorco which I haven't used in a while, made a super goop lather out of the Cella-Jeeves-VdH Frankensoap and away we went. The Dorco performed quite well and was smooth and sharp. Since I've been shaving daily this week I opted for a two pass shave which yielded a high grade DFS. Finished off with the Baxter duo for a nice shot of menthol. Have a great day my friends!

Thanks Andrew. I see many similar New LC's. Curious to see an original finish picture.

Here you go, Though I've never seen one in the "wild" with an original finish in this good of shape.

I did however score a SC with a pristine factory finish recently:

I’m in the middle of my 3rd week of doing the the 30 challenge and of beginning wet shaving.

Today I believe was the best shave so far. I suspect it was because I had more time and didn’t feel the need to rush. I made a small change in my routine and I think that made the difference because it gave me more time.

This shave was closest to bbs I have gotten. The most difficult area for me it seems is my neck.

Somehow from day one I have either gotten only tiny weepers or none and very little if any razor burn. None actually more often than not. So I can’t really complain.

But you can't see the top of the top cap. The upper left picture appears to be copper, just like mine.

Great looking razor, Rick! That Blue balm is a decent performer as well. I don't reach for mine often enough.
Love the photo, Jim. The Personna Twins are very efficient blades!
Awesome pic, Brian, and I hope you have a great time with your daughter and the grandbabes.
Great write up, and a great looking razor, Joseph.
    Awesome find, Andrew!

Thank you all for the prayers and the well wishes. My wife's eye lids had started to drop down. Over time it has impaired her vision which made the surgery medically necessary. The procedure went fine but as expected, it didn't start on time so we have had a very long day. She is not used to being a patient and really is not a good patient at all. Wish Maya and I luck. :D
