Congrats on the progress you're making in this journey! You'll find that your shaves get better and better as time goes on. Hopefully you'll hang around the 30DC after your 30 day challenge is done.

My wife is much better this morning. A very nice shave this morning. The lather was much better today which illustrates I was having an off day on Tuesday. Two passes and touch ups just missed the baby. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am off to fight the commute. I hope everyone as great Thursday.

This morning's shave was yet another where my first pass left a few hairs and my second cleared everything.

Some recent threads on Techs, Mike's and Paladins are the influence of today's shave choices.
Mike's has been around for a while and I have been a devoted fan since my wet shaving renaissance in 2014.
Only one of his soaps didn't pass muster for me. It was a Beta Rose formula, that, IMO, simply missed the mark.
However, every other soap that I have used has always been top-notch, both in soap properties and scents.
I find his line to be situated at the complete opposite spectrum of Barrister & Mann, for example. Disclaimer, I am also a fan of B&M soaps.
    B&M complex scents; Mike's rudimentary.
    B&M fancy labeling; Mike's simple.
B&M flowery website; Mike's basically an internet menu.
B&M myriad of choices; Mike's about a dozen.
I could go on, but you get the point.
    Back to Mike's...
Brass tacks: great soap; great price; great service. Mike's is and will always remain a personal favorite.

The Barber Shop scent is so iconic. It is just how I would want a Barber Shop to smell. I can't get enough of the scent.
There is also a thread on another site asking posters to "convince" the OP to purchase a Paladin.
The 28mm Chief was my first Paladin purchase and I have never regretted it. The handle (all of Ken's handles)
is turned to perfection. The Chief ergonomics are perfect in my hand. The badger hair and bulb knot load easily and fit nicely into tubs or bowls. Very soft; excellent backbone; scrubby enough to give you face a workout, without irritation. ZERO scritch.

There is also a current thread here about the Gillette Tech, inferring that some highfalutin shavers "turn their noses up" at this very inexpensive razor. Well, I don't and wouldn't, because it's my opinion that if a razor can hold a blade tightly I can get a great shave out of it.
Tha fact that it is not a Wolfman matters not one iota to me. BBS is BBS, whether from a $400 razor or a $10 razor. Period.
When I run out of Perma Sharp blades, I just might have to purchase more, even though I have too many blades already.
This is one great blade! Shave #3 and it's showing no signs of dulling. No pull, no irritation. A1 blade.
Full facial shave today and I must say, I like the clean look. My wife, however, prefers a neatly-trimmed Van Dyke...we'll see.
The Barbers Choice Classic Lilac is not the Veg by any means. It is however, a really nice lilac AS splash that doesn't overpower.
