well what do you mean you watch them for the humor not the animation?

I watch them because they're good. That can mean a lot of things but whatever the show is attempting to do it is doing well and that is why I like them. Animation is simply a tool for creating things that can't be done with live action.


edit: also I would definitely not consider myself an otaku, yes I watch anime but I do not cos-play, obsess or otherwise do annoying fan-girl otaku typical things.

 

I watch them because they're funny. If they weren't funny, I wouldn't watch them. I didn't get into them because they're animated, if that makes any sense.

It seems to me, at least the people I've personally come across and I'm not trying to make a sweeping generalization here -- but it seems to me that most of the anime people like the whole genre because of the genre and would watch or give a chance to anything that is anime because it is anime.

I used to watch and like Speed Racer and Starblazers.

 

haha speed racer was good stuff. I watch anime because it's interesting, it makes me cry sometimes or it gets me all nervous when I think a character I like is going to die. It can also be really funny and weird and everything in between the two. I've seen everything from spirited away to grave of the fireflies but I also watch things like SWAT kats, justice league, PPG, dexter's lab, the jetsons, house, the big bang theory, the sarah silverman show, scrubs, the office, bizarre foods, all sorts of stuff. I don't JUST watch anime but I do like all sorts of different anime, american cartoons and live action TV.

 

I got back after most everyone is gone huh. grrrrrrrrrr. Not much kicking in the hutch tonight. Had a good supper with a friend that came over. Played some cards. Good stuff.. how ya'll?

Yay more hugs! I love hugs :love055 I'm good, it's a little cold this weekend, we got a lot of snow for my area. I didn't even bother to dig my car out so I've had a lazy weekend. I also did a little too much online shopping so I think I have enough new clothes for the winter and hopefully if they don't get ruined I should be good next winter too.

I'm watching Family Guy right now on Adult Swim

 

it's still a little gross, considering getting rid of it in favor of a super clean lady gillette with no spots or anything because I don't know what to do with this one

I've actually never been to buffalo :ashamed001 but I'm moving there in January to go to college.

I've never been either, but Batavia was a cute little town....I think it's about 15 minutes or so from Buffalo...maybe a little further
