Wise words. Schick should have just stopped at the I2, it was the perfect culmination of the injector razor's development in a cost effective production.

Wow "j".... You cut right to the chase on that one....I'm gonna have to quote you on that... You did the Journalist thing, of making your point in a very concise manner....You nailed it.
"It was the perfect culmination of the injector razor's development in a cost effective production." Dats it. :happy096:

    Schick "O" Clone
    Schick Twin-Japan [ 12 ]
    Alcolado Glacial [ sample]

No Shade whilst Timekeeping so face a bit burnt so had to plan Shave around that fact. Cannot go wrong with the
MWF, the Lanolin in it should be good for any soreness. As for a Razor the "O" clone is very forgiving and with a relatively " fresh blade" proved to be a good choice. A lovely Shave smooth and comfortable, with a super close finish and no post Shave problems. To finish off used a sample of Alcolado Glacial, which was very invigorating
and left the skin tingling in a nice way.In fact I enjoyed it so much I ordered a bottle, I had not realised it was so cheap [ in UK anyway] and will be nice for Summer Shaves.

    Pre: Cold water face wash
    Brush: Semogue 1470 Boar
    Soap: Palmolive Stick
    Razor: E-R 1912 Peerless
    Blade: Gem Blue Star CS
Post: Cold water rinse, Pitralon Classic ASL

Back to basics this morning and it was a cracker.
The aluminium handle of the Peerless makes the 1912 delightfully head heavy and in theory the Palmolive stick is all the soap I'll ever need, in practice, well that's a completely different story.
Finished off nicely with the Pitralon, it's a classic for a reason.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #284 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the English Ever-Ready SE Razor with a GEM CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The O ( clone or original - dont matter there the same) is THE BEST! such a forgiving razor - and I for one LOVE the modern look of it - also has amazing grip and Feel to it --- every injector fan needs to own this - I cant imagine the clone will be around forever - the only seller is that florida online shop..

SUNDAY NIGHT - July 1st - Used the SCHICK E2 that opens for cleaning - blade was a PROLINE on the 2nd shave - great shave as always!! I could feel that cold steel ! it was a cold water menthol shave on the hottest day of the year - really not bad as I have central air conditioning and i was inside all day drinking ice tea - watching WWE NETWORK - 1982 Mid Atlantic wrestling from there vast vault - i HATE modern wrestling with a passion - but i love old school territory wrestling - i am currently diving into Crockett Mid Atlantic and also some Bill Watts Mid South from 1984 - great stuff.. peace jamie

I am going to use my ROCNEL SE G tonight ! i love that razor - as long as you set the blade correctly it is an amazing agressive shaver - much more aggressive than the GEM MMOC - wich is said to be a beast - i actually find it as mild as a feather!

The HydroMagic is indeed a great design, but I have to be honest - I do find it does not age well - i can say at least half of my used hydro razors have loose or broken levers - they dont seem to last long? but i do have some that are tight and working fine - but i always get scared i will click it and bust it! ahaha

I think the SE G is an aggressive razor. It is certainly my most aggressive razor by far. I too have to pay attention in loading the blade correctly. I have never used a GEM MMOC so I can't compare.

    30DCLE (26mm, Frigate Class)
    Dry Dock Lather Bowl
Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange soap and AS

I'm off work this week and I've been waiting for my Stirling package, it finally arrived! It's been a hot day here and my chores are done so why not cool down with a frozen Stirling teat! Cold water and lost it menthol were the theme of the shave. Really really like the scent of Lemony Orange. I get the sweetness of the orange in the foreground and the tartness of the lemon poking through here and there. My first glacial shave and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (my eyes only watered a little), I guess I built up my tolerances with Iced Pineapple. I also realized that I haven't used an injector in a while so the j1 got drafted this week. Have a great evening my friends!

No way around it....If one had to designate one Schick as the quintessential Schick Injector....I think most would have to give that honor to the early E2 that opens. It just is the one that set the tone for what an injector is....It all came together on that one!.....although I have never met a Schick that I didn't dig....}8^))

    Duru Lemon Splash

I decided to have the luxury of another Twin Blade Shave, this time used the elegant F3. Seems rather unfair doing a repeat Shave, but the O & F vary a bit and I find the N a little bit more aggressive, bit it still delivers the most comfortable Shaves with a superior close finish.
As a follow up to the Shave I used the Duru Lemon splash rather than a traditional A/S, found it really pleasant to use as a change.
