  1. I'm easily amused....I don't get to see the current ones much - usually it's the older ones like now...

  5. the only razor I've ever used is

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016220GS/?tag=thshde-20 and now that I'm looking at it I'm not even sure what the hell it is :happy102 I thought it was a weishi but now I have no idea.
  6. word gets around pretty quick.....

    it's a Double Edge Razor! wow..that's pretty generic..
  7. haha yeah, I had no idea what I was doing when I got it. Honestly I was scared to start using a DE and I just wanted something cheap. It does a great job with the right blades though.

now that I'm looking at it I think it might be time for a new razor.
  8. It's always that time! :D
  9. I thought you had at least a Gillette.... sheesh gal what's up with that. was going to try to get you to upgrade to a SE. not sure what that thing is not a weishie me thinks. Maybe a vincent???? You really need to try a nice Gillette SS maybe.

  10. Yeah I should, I just never got into the whole RAD thing. I would love to try a SE but I don't have the money to dedicate to it right now.

edit: unless you can suggest a cheap SE setup
  11. SE= straight edge or single edge?
  12. Single Edge
  13. I got's a damaskeene and an injector do those count?
  14. SE = single edge.

Well if you really wanna try one out I can send you one to try. I have several you know:rolleyes:

  15. I have not gotten a damaskeene.. that is a gem yes?

    Fuzzy
  16. I'm getting a Gem 1912 Travel for Xmas...can't wait to try it out....I'm also really starting to dig the lathercatchers and and pre 1912 razors - really cool looking.

Haven't tried any SE out yet though....need to get some blades

Bunny, are the Gem blades from Walgreens/CVS any good?
  17. I need some too, I think the ones I have seen are treet brand. I have only 2 of the Gem ted pella blades
  18. I believe it is...

But they're all the same - Star, Kampfe, Ever Ready, Gem - they're all companies from the same guy
  19. truckee is correct on both counts
  20. Yes, I think I've seen some Treets locally, too. I have a box of vintage Ever Ready "Radio Steel" blades....don't think I want to try those though...I might bring back the Bubonic Plague
