Kudos to mantic59. Many of his tutorial videos have helped me. Thanks, Bruce, for adding the comment about stretching the jawline skin to create another flat spot. I do the same thing. As you said, it is tough to shave around the corners of your jawline. Have a great day, my friend.

    Thank you too, Charlie!
So many of the shaving videos online, the guys don't do any skin stretching. Either they are left with some stubble in parts, or they have some kind of Jedi powers that I don't possess.
I hope you have a great day as well!

Thanks Jason! Have you tried one of the regular Stirling Mentholated soaps yet? Iced pineapple, MITA, Gin and Tonic on the rocks or Orange Chill all would be good introductory choices.

Thank you Andrew. I need a few days with the SE-G to get readjusted to how it shaves. I am hoping the rest of the week remains blood free. ;)

Review&Commentary of Razorock Triple-Milled "What The Puck" Lime Burst:

Ease of Loading 10/10. (I had read it was going to take quite a while but the Stoylin lil brudder just dove right in for the kill.)
Scent-10/10. I used Clubman Gent's Gin, which of course has a bit of a lime scent itself,. but it appears the soap scent came right out as well.
Smoothness-10/10. Dolphin category. I will say though that I probably won't use it again in humidity(unless I try it with Aqua Velva)or another cooling A.S.)

Overall impression-For me, I'd say dead of winter and high summer humidity aren't the best times for this(although as I say, let's see what happens with Aqua Velva or some other popular summer aftershave). I'm quite pleased to have this.

    July Focus
    [IMG]

Alright, I haven't bailed on the July focus, but there was no way I was NOT going to use this Ranger Tech that arrived yesterday.
More on this razor in a bit...

Williams is a funny creature. I bloom it, use it daily (recently, anyway)
and it still dries up overnight and pulls away from the edges of the tub. Can't quite figure that one out. :signs002:
After this morning's shave, I put the lid on it rather than leaving it open all night.
I took the well-soaked and wrung out Rooney and very gently loaded the bloomed soap. Adding drops of water, I built a beautiful lather directly on the puck. To the face. This knot is a wall of hair. The three band has some serious give, but never verges on floppiness.
Mixing back and forth paint strokes and the occasional circular motion, I was rewarded with one of the best Williams lathers to-date.
The menthol, while not in @Yehuda D ('s) territory, nevertheless was refreshing.
    Now to the razor.
I know I have only used it once, but I am thrilled. Much smoother than my Milord Tech.
Could we call it mild? I guess so, but a better term would be "intuitive".
The angle was easy to find. The head geometry allows for nice detail work: under the nose, sideburns, etc.
I moved around my chin like it was my cheek. Jawline...effortless.
This razor just could be my Desert Island razor. Yes, I said it. :)

Buffing galore. The Personna 74 is still going strong after countless passes. I have long stopped keeping track of the number of shaves on my blades. Too much trouble remembering and when it tugs, it's Hasta la Vista Baby!
C.O. Bigelow makes some great products and their Bay Rum is one of them. Much different than the Dominica or Meehan's.
It's far less clovey and, for lack of a better word, softer. Great finish.
    Back tomorrow with the R41.

That would be an ATG job right(jawline corners)?

  19. Very useful thank you!

I get the kids yelling, "Daaaaaaad!"

  20. shaving with a light sabre leaves no stubble, in fact it doesn't leave any skin either. ;)
