I dunno. @Keithmax has a bit of a superiority complex.

Question for the group- Is it unpatriotic to shave tomorrow (July 4) with an English or Canadian razor?

Cool photo, Rick! I was wondering how the lathering Cremo was. I got to sample some of the Cremo Cooling from a tube. Not my thing, since lathering is part of the fun. However, the slickness is fantastic. Good stuff for travel, or a quick shave.

I hope everything is going well on the family front.

    July 3

    G3 Gillette Fatboy
    Astra SP (2)
    Kent BK4 Silvertip
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

The Le Père Lucien shave soap continues to impress. It is easy to indent the soap puck with a finger, so I consider this to be a fairly soft soap. I tried a new alum block this morning after the shave, and I hardly had a sparkle.

Happy 4th of July, everyone! My Bride and I plan to spend tomorrow at a cookout with some dear friends. We are indeed blessed. What are your plans?

Only if you don’t sing The Star Spangled Banner during the shave. I think the rules allow pausing while doing the “difficult” parts, where even talking would be risky. ;)

I found an interesting video showing how DE blades are manufactured. Thought I would pass it along in case you are interested.

Not in for a focus this month but will probably break out the popsicle sticks for the 5th. Been busy with work and graduation of one of my 3 daughters and all the events going on here for this past week. This is my daughter Madison's graduation . She finished on the honor roll and will be off to study engineering in the fall. IMG_4540.JPG 20180703_191310.jpg
This was todays shave in which i chose Randy's magical soap that leaves you cooler than the breeze. It 34c here today and the shave was refreshing. Hope everyone is doing well !

That is just awesome, Patrick. You have a beautiful family! Congrats on Madison's graduation. She has done extremely well in school, and I'm sure this will continue at university. What field of engineering will she study?
