Portland Razor Barber Special straight, Morgan's Goat Milk Soap, "Electric Lemonade," Excelsior Cerda Pura badger brush, Pitralon Polar aftershave.

A bit of red, white and blue, and an American straight.

Two and a half passes on some slick, quality lather (thanks Morgan!), nice and clean shave. The Pitralon has an excellent scent.

Today's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Not a fan of the soap. The wife bought a couple for me, in Hot Springs Arkansas. The soap burns slightly, and the scent is overpowering. It is very slick and lathers very well though.

    Razor- Sterling Razor Works.
Brush- RazoRock with a Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger knot. It is wonderful for face lathering.
    Soap- BathHouse "Steam".
    Aftershave- Avon Spicy

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Staying aggressive so a switch to the Fatip Piccolo. A truly amazing, fantastic, incredibly effective and fun razor to use - and yes - it will bite if you don't give it enough respect and attention. I chose to pair it with Japanese Steel. Kai, in this case. I've always liked the Kai DE blades as an alternative to Feathers, and their Artist Club blades are equally good as well. Since I didn't do a head shave last week I'll be using my Kai pain stick with a Kai blade tomorrow night to take care of two weeks growth.

As for tonight, the JR46 turned Soap Commander into its normal flawless lather and two passes and touch up brought out the baby. Alum was just a touch warm but no problem at all. I love using aggressive stuff. In fact, I recommend it!

Fireworks are going off around us like it's a war out there tonight. Happy 4th everyone!!

It was a great day with some friends from work and since my one buddy (the guy cut out of the photo since I didn't know if he would like me posting his pic) is also a huge fan, it was a great experience. We were listening to the Doors all the way to the cemetery like theme music, and there is nothing like walking around Paris just living the moment. Out of respect, we obviously did not play any music once we entered. The cemetery was also erie with a raven constantly crowing in the background and being surrounded by densely packed ornate mausoleums. It's funny but I've been to the Louvre, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, locks of love bridge, Jardin du Luxembourg, etc. in Paris, but this was one of my favorite memories. Like a ritual, we each took a drink and shared a bit with Jim as toast his memory and appreciation to his creative genius. Very memorable with the right people and highly recommend.

Thanks Jamie. I just posted in response to Mark about the cemetery, but there was an great spiritual type vibe among us. Excellent taste in music. Looks like you have been on the travel roll yourself lately. Enjoy the moment!
