Thanks Charlie! It wasn't really a loss. Matter of fact, I was debating on what to do with it once the soap was finished. It's ridiculously deep enough to make loading "loud" - the brush tends to bang around on the sides. It's not much of lathering bowl either. I suppose my clumsiness did me a favor. Have a great Thursday as well, my friend!
The first popsicle post of the day! Great photos, Adam! It looks like the kids were having a grand ol' time! Congrats on a decent shave with last year's model "razor".
I certainly am. I go back on Monday to start getting ready and the first groups come back for rehearsal one week from today. The time is upon me. Short summer for sure.
I don't. I do a North to South pass, a South to North pass, and a pass from my mustache out, with the chin done Left to Right. Its close to ATG in some areas, but not in all. If my razor is sharp, my skin stretching is good, and my touch is light, I get no irritation. Normally I get a DFS plus, and occasionally a BBS. The no irritation is the big thing for me.
Thank you, Joseph. I want to love it...little fella is a shedder though. I thought for a minute or so that I got away without it dropping any hairs today. False. The kitty bowls work very well. Not the most stylish, but they live in a drawer when not in use. I grabbed one that was laying around for a Stirling sample (which fits perfectly, BTW). Liked it enough that I bought another one.
July Focus Interesting turn of events today. No, not the AS-D2 handle (seen in picture). I actually hated the balance and switched back to my Weber Bulldog for most of the shave. The Mondial tore up the bloomed Williams and for those of you out there looking to "finish off" some soaps, I can heartily recommend this beast. Lot's of water added whilst face-lathering. Definitely enough lather for 6 full passes. No apologies here, I load it like I hate it. Always have---always will. So, those of you actually reading my tome are probably wondering what happened today to make this shave different? I'll tell you, but first let me pose this question: What are you eyes focussed on when shaving? Seriously. Like driving a car, my eyes are scanning ahead of me. What's coming, etc. Today, I noticed that and I made a conscious decision to focus ENTIRELY on the razor head. This was not intuitive, I must say. While focussing on the head, (literally not taking my eyes off) I was FINALLY able to maintain the shallowest angle possible with the R41. I got those two top-cap posts in my sights and did NOT let them go. Period. After almost 4 1/2 years since my wet-shaving renaissance, I was able to not lose the angle. Results: No BBS, but better than DFS No weepers, no nicks Alum score: 1! (Weird, because the Old Spice Musk really packed a wallop. ) Score one for the Gipper (aka Primo)
Thank you, Charlie! I have to admit, I think I detect a little gloating from a person who doesn't have to to go to work in the "Have a smooth day at work" comment.
They eat good, but a lot of work for a meal. General rule of thumb in our boat is 8”+ for Bluegill and 10” for crappie. We eat more panfish than anything else. When the kids were little tykes I used to have to clean a lot of bitty ones when they’d let them swallow the hook too far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Thanks, Charlie. It is a favorite of ours. A little guy off the beaten path. Even on the Fourth of July there were only three other boats on the lake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I focus on the head of my razor, particularly the point of contact.I try to visualize the angle the blade is slicing through the stubble. Another great report and photo, btw. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I am right there with you, Charlie. Probably the one Gillette I have yet to acquire and would like to have.
