Ended up a 1900 Superior kinda day here. Vie-Long Horse did a great job with the old formula The Body Shop for Men cream! Loved the VIBR!!

After Shaving yesterday with a J3 loaded with a Japanese Schick I decided to see how the J3 loaded with a Proline compared. Luckily I have a user grade 500 brought as part of a job lot , which I loaded a fresh Proline.I think there is less blade feel with the Proline but it is extremely smooth, and I felt that the quality of the finished Shave was better, especially around the neck. Next time out with the other Razor I shall pay more attention when Shaving around the neck. Maybe I will save the relatively expensive Japanese Schicks for use in my Type F, as they are superb in it.

Thanks Fuzzy - I tell U GEM really created a masculine, cool, awesome looking razor with the OCMM - just a mean looking but elegant razor!!! they don't make em like this no more!

 

july 6th - last night I had a party with the GEM G Bar - just another amazing design - When I look at this razor I think of 1950's AMERICA - a chromed out muscle car! hair slicked back with a dame on your arm. Lucky strike lit up with the pack roled up on your white under shirt sleave wearing some levi's!!! another reason I love classic shaving is the nostalgia to a better time -

July 7, 2018 - Saturday Night

Tonight my SE Party was with the GEM Feather Weight - I have 3 of these and this is the fancy GOLD ONE, must have been there luxury offering.. The FW does not get much love, it has a mild and smooth feeling - but with a shallow angle it is friggin' Efficient!!! Just a great razor from GEM - was this from the 60s?

I recall seeing it in the early 60s I believe. I have that same model. It's a very nice shaver.
