I have never heard of this razor and blade or seen one. Is the blade a single edge?

    Razor - Qshave (6 - setting OMG)
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

What a great shave this was. Yeah, I'm gushing a bit, but all three now with the Qshave have been just about as perfect as shaves can get. Considering when I first tried this razor out it was a bit of a challenge, I have become a loyal advocate of its abilities. Ok, yeah, so I know it's technique that counts. But.....having a great tool in your hand to use it on helps. Is the Qshave as good as a Fatboy? Or a Slim? Or any other vintage razor? I won't say that, but I will say it has produced three baby's in a row and all with zero irritation or alum burn. And that's with it dialed all the way open. Again, technique rules - but a tool that functions exactly like it's supposed to is the other half of the puzzle.

The soap - Stirling Iced Coffee - I'll go ahead and call it. My favorite Stirling scent. I haven't tried all of them, but so far this one wins. It's still not back on the website but I'm watching for it. And the JR46, well, we know Jayaruh brushes.

I suppose I should mention the blade. Ladas is one of my top five choices in Russian steel and continues to impress. I don't use it as often as I should. It's one of those "wow I forgot how nice it is" blades. For the next rhree nights - I'll be switching to the Russian Consul. It would be the next most aggressive adjustable I have. And, I'll figure out a Russian blade for it to match. Should be fun.

The razor is a Personna injector with a pivot head. The blade is a Gillette Twinjector (2 blades).

Thanks for the info Joseph. Cant remember exactly the year 2012, 2013/14 and the exact business paper I was reading but came across a small article stating that thePimenta Racemosa crops in the Caribbean Islands had come down with a fungus and whole crops were destroyed. As soon as I read that I went online to California Antilles Trading, and bought at that time the last 3 bottles each of the Dominica Bay Rum and with Lime as I knew it would become scarce and pricy if found in stock. Ran through my Meehan's but cant justify buying another bottle with enough DBR to last a very long time.

    Razor: Gold “14”
    Brush: 24mm Boar
    Soap: Fine Santal Absolut
A/S: Pre de Provence No. 63
Had fun with this razor - reshaped the tip, shortened the scales to match, and honed from bevel set to finish on this new (to me) Coticule. Good project.
