Wasn’t planning on shaving until at least tomorrow but, the Misses has some friends in town from her college days and somehow I got pulled into a dinner with them tonight. I told her that I was holding out on shaving for test purposes. You Gents know what the stare is? I got it and I didn’t argue one bit. Anyways, a sweet 3 pass shave with the D plate paired with the Kai. Super efficient combo finished off with the Eternity Aqua that was just perfect. Off to dinner. May you Gents have an excellent evening and shaves.....

***EDIT - Wow! A great 3-pass BBS shave this morning. The Mamabear glycerine shave soap lathered up better this morning & supremely again thanks to soaking with a small top layer of water the soap's surface for a few minutes while I brushed my teeth. The pre-shave oil I've found is necessary with Mamabear glycerine soaps to prevent irritation. When this combo is used the shave comes out fantastic. I got a top-shelf shave. Super smooth skin. Very happy and the classic Calvin Klein fragrance is a good-mood promoter. When you get the right scent for the right day it's truly like aroma therapy. I love the shaving and fragrance hobbies. They go together hand-in-hand as a perfect duo.

Well, for the past several days I've had what has to be a record run of excellent shaves for me. Nearly perfect. At some point I have to ask when the first disaster is going to strike. And how, exactly, would I describe a disaster? A barely DFS? A couple of nicks or weepers? A missing ear or nose?

Such questions are still just theory after tonight's shave. The Consul/Sputnik was again right on the money. Soap Commander was its usual incredibly slick and cushy self with the JR54, and the finish - while perhaps not quite BBS.....close enough to not even worry about it. I actually got a bit heavy handed on a couple of strokes so left a bit of touch up at the end. If the baby isn't here it's my fault, not the gear. Excellent shave that sets me up to look good and feel good about doing some runs tonight. Have a great evening! I'm not off until Monday from my day job so going to enjoy some time with the wife tomorrow then I'm ready to meet those of you who are going to be around. I also have to decide what razor to use while everyone is here. Hmmmmmm. Suggestions?

Great shave with P&B, scent paired well with Island Lime which is prefect for warm weather. No complaints and the post shave was soothing.

Absolutely love the WTF Christmas Time soap, lather is excellent and the scent is a strong pine/basalm/fir that just works so well with Taigia. Very happy with the results of this shave.

Very enjoyable shave. Local Gent doesn't get the attention it deserves IMO, quality products for a reasonable price. Puck is on the hard side but lathers with no problem. Finished off with C&CC aftershave and balm to keep the tobacco theme going all day.

This mornings shave was not very close IMO. Lots of tugging and leftover stubble. The Omega Fructi has a bright fruity scent and the lather had a nice shiny quality to it, much better than last time I used it, actually this soap is not bad at all. it is triple milled so takes a bit more loading time and may even benefit from blooming (can't believe I'm typing this lol) I usually don't bloom soaps but did splash a few drops on the bottom of the puck to make loading a bit easier. Finished off with TSM Fougere, this stuff must have been in the sun too long as it was separated pretty bad, stirred it as good as I could but the consistency has changed a bit, perhaps some time in the freezer would help. Had no effect on performance so no big deal. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!
