Maybe cause somebody thought it was a great eye-dee-er to douse on the Clubman right before heading off to the maa-kit to stroll with the Clubman Babes!
It's hard to get encouraged to write about Clubman in this warm/hot weather, but I've begun to play around with what I'll include in my "Pinaud Package Of 2019".
I’ve been rockin’ Clubman two or three days a week on average. While it’s not technically a “summer scent,” it’s either going to be received well or not, regardless of the calendar.
I've been using Clubman for years and though I do use it year round; I find due to its warming effect, I use it far less in the warmer months. The scent isn't a problem (SWMBO is a big fan) any extra warmth in July isn't welcome.
Y'know, now that I think of it there are SOME Clubmen products that are manageable in the summer-like Gent's Gin(which I'm enjoying now), and those Lime aftershaves(which I may purchase some summer). But those aren't the same as the vintage barbershop classics(Original, Special Reserve)that are enjoyed in the fall/winter. I'd say the other two "Clubman Reserve" brands(besides the Gent's Gin)would be best in the warm weather, too.
Interesting-I just looked at tbem both(Clubmanonline.com)and felt I'd go with Sec. But yo'u're right-I'm sure both are fine. My goal is to have enough Razorock "Lime Burst" soap left for it. Course soaps tend to last quite a while.
I guess there is SOME C.I. groove to that, but it appears too clovey for me. (To be fair, I haven't tried it). Cloves=Christmas, not Carribean)
That could be. I'm on the clubmanonline mailing list, thus I just use the website. They keep sending me specials this year, but-no can do until Jan 1. 1019 . I did purchase two of the shampoos(16 oz. Country Club) a few years ago-still on my first of them! Also the canned shaving cream, which I might do again as part of my "Pinaud Package of 2019".
Love the Clubman...Wife loves the Clubman....I think the Orig. Clubman makes a great base for any AS cocktail aswell....It adds a clean powdery vibe to other AS's that my wife loves...and I'm sure you "chick magnets" can get behind... BTW... Kathleen Turner did the speaking voice of Jessica Rabbit....The singing voice was actually Speilberg's wife, Amy Irving... And I can't help but think both voices for Jessica Rabbit would dig Pinauld's Clubman....
