  2. Found a Green Lizard in my adventures this weekend. 9/16 square tip with no rust, just funk with a touch of spine wear. Has blank # 131C on the tip. As a bonus, came in a W&B coffin. Will clean up nicely.

$25 'eBay special', 6/8, bought really for the scales which are nice! M. L. Brandt was a cutlery shop in NYC that went out of business in 1916, so the razor is at least 102 years old.

    Cheers, Steve
  4. @Drygulch got me started with straights back in January of 2017, and thanks to the good men on this forum, I have only cut myself a couple of times and those minor. I now have 11 straights, two shavettes, and one Weck Sextoblade. That is fourteen in all. I only shave with them on Saturdays, so that is 52 shaves a year. I rotate through the 14 so each will get used 3 or 4 times a year.

  5. Do you notice much difference in how they shave?
  6. I get my best shaves from the straights. I like the Joseph Elliot wedge best. The H. Boker, Rocket, Fredrick Reynolds, and J.A. Henckels are all favorites, but they all deliver great shaves.

  12. Thank you all! I've got RAD real bad right now, I guess there is no cure or hope, LOL. I think I'm falling in love with wedges, with a good edge I find them the most comfortable to shave with. My favorites is the Greaves and the Wade & Butchers at least a 6/8 or bigger. Any suggestions on other wedges?
  13. Mrchick I've been following your shaves for a long time, that's kind of what got me looking into them and using them.
  14. I’m glad to hear it. Have fun! Let us know if you need any help.
  15. Stopped in a couple of shops on the drive to St. Louis today and found some toys. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
And a really cool straight razor case. [IMG][IMG]
They threw this one in for free. It needs lots of work.
