The key to pulling that off is pure confidence and no shame. Well done, Charlie. Although I think the ensemble called for heels instead of tennies. Have a great time guys!
Some say I look good in anything, but I'm hoping for a couple of Unicorns for my fashionista meet up style, Randy.
Tick tock.....whatcha gonna do? Only a little over three hours until launch.... And, what if a polished version isn't going to happen? Decisions, decisions....
Blood on Steel- first shave. Since I picked the soap from Buckner, MO, it’s only fair that I get to use it first, right? The labels on this are awesome. @Jeeves of Hudson Street hit them out of the park. I brought my 30DC LE brush, because it seemed fitting. Staley Live razor on a Windrose handle with a vintage Wilkinson Sword blade with six or seven shaves on it. I did forget my shave bowl, so I face lathered with the boar beast. The scent on this soap is complex but awesome. I get a hint of tobacco leaf, and a mix of spices, but not a heavy scent. I really like it, and this isn’t the type of scent I normally go for. Two passes and clean up, and the baby showed up. Just the right amount of menthol in the splash, and I’m set for the day. Going to meet some troublemakers for breakfast, then seeing who I can drag to a tattoo shop...
July Focus July 14th already. How time passes so quickly. But not when I am shaving... I take my sweet time. If I have to rush a shave, more likely than not, I will just skip it. The ring has appeared at the bottom of the Williams. I am not certain that it'll make it for another 17 shaves. We'll see. But until then, the Rooney Style 3 (boring name, I will have to think of a better one), with its massive knot (only 24mm at the base) sucked up enough of the bloomed Williams to sink a ship. While I like this brush; indeed the brush handle is lovely, such a wide knot makes applying the lather somewhat sloppy for my tastes. Be that as it may, the lather was brilliant. Oodles and oodles of creamy, rich, slick goodness. The R41 didn't exacted no damage at all today; I was especially vigilant with the angle and pressure, even under my chin, which has always been rather sensitive. Funny, for years and years my right-side jaw line was always the "danger zone" (I actually had a healthy fear of shaving that part of my face, even with a 5-blade cart), no longer... The Schick Krona blade is still going strong. No issues there. DFS in 2+ passes. Not chasing the baby at all, even though I still do an ATG pass. Finished again with the Floïd Mentolado Vigoroso, which I have decided to "titanic" my way through. So from today until the end of the July focus, only my brush/blade will vary. BTW, for those with Eagle Eyes, that is not a crease in the "Vintage Williams" label, just a reflection.
I still have a couple of hours to mull it over but as of right this moment I'm saying no. Well, maybe not. Maybe... Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
July 14, 2018 OneBlade Genesis V2 Feather FHS Rubberset 400 #3 with WSP HMW AOS Ocean Kelp Myrsol Antesol It was nice to sleep in and have a more relaxed morning. Since I had the time I went with a three pass shave that had the baby in sight. Some buffing along my neck and touch ups along my jawline got the little guy with no drama or irritation. A splash of Myrsol Antesol and a spritz of Cool Water EdT and I am ready for the day. Maya and I are going to visit my mom today and take her out to lunch. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
This is about Stoylin, but I referred to it as the regular "Stirling" in reply to some questions and issues from a member who I don't think knows about "Stoylin"(in the Stoylin Exchange). He'll catch on!
Great shave Adam! Way to go getting the soap and aftershave all set up (and delivered) for the meet! Have fun, and let's see who gets the tats this weekend!
