Actually I was there twice....once with my cousin, then on the way down to DIA with my family. I'm not a Pearl St. kinda guy, but at least the airport stop allowed me to see how well-behaved young kids are(shows the parents did a good job raising them).
Wonderful setups, Jared. The RV is sweet, and of course, so is the Supply. Is the Piacenza a long lasting scent? Hangovers are one thing I don’t miss. Well....that and not knowing what I missed, or how I got from point A to point B. I suppose there’s an upside to being boring.
It does make me wonder what a bottle of aftershave from the 1800’s would smell like...or if it would even still have a smell.
Probably my great-great-grandfather's attic. That was my immediate first impression of Chiseled Face's Midnight Stag-talkin OLD TIMES. Actually, I was prowling around in the attic of what once was my grandfather's house......vintage, baby!
Yeah, I don’t partake like that very often anymore. But every once in a while I get sick of feeling good every morning, and have to remind myself how awesome it is to feel like you’d have to rally to die. The citrusy top notes in the Piacenza fade off relatively quickly, but it leaves a clean, fresh, almost Soapy scent that hangs in there a good long time. It is easily in my top three summer scents.
Andrew, one of the towns we saw was Nederlands....3 hemp stores in the place. Quite different from where I was-hemp-free Golden.
Drygulch checking in. Made it home safe. Had to be here in time for a meeting with the contractor. While the schedule for the work is torn to sheds, I at least found out we are in budget. Should see some big progress soon. I got to tour the Jeeves of Hudson Street production facility/ living room in my way home. Got to sniff some past and upcoming scents. Ended up going home with another Jeeves set, Black Tea. This is in addition to the Blood on Steel set and Cabal soap I left the meet up with. Mrs. Gulch was unimpressed that my number of soaps and aftershaves actually went up, along with my razor count. I told her that we were discussing Denver or Florida next year, and she said it was a possibility that the whole family could go. Thank you to everyone who attended, and especially to Neal for hosting.
My impression of Midnight Stag is what I imagine a gas station attendant must smell after his shift is done.
