July 17, 2018 OneBlade Genesis V2 Modified Gem Thater Boar Fine Italian Citrus Soap & Aftershave A wonderful 3 pass shave this morning. The big boar made short work of whipping up a rich slick lather. I’ve found 3 passes work better with the Gem blade. Not quite a BBS but I did scare the little guy. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

July unfocussed... Fell completely off of the wagon this morning. Received the B&M yesterday from a fellow shaver on a rival forum and had to give it a shot. I figured, if I am not going to use the other items in my July focus, then what the heck, I am going whole hog. Barrister & Mann Roam... the verdict is still out I must admit. I have read that this scent is polarizing and indeed it is. The soap itself is absolutely top-notch. I much prefer these glass/plastic containers to B&M's current tubs. They are wonderful. Fantastic lather production, with the proper blooming of course. One can be tempted to start the shave before this soap is properly hydrated, so rich and creamy it is, but I advise adding as much water as you can before the soap loses its integrity. The Ranger Tech was loaded with a new blade; made in the USA, but I have no idea by whom. Here is a picture, perhaps someone can help me identify it? (I felt compelled to clean it with some 92% alcohol, before using it.) I LOVE the Ranger Tech. Love...strong word for a razor but apropos in this case. What a marvel!!! Easily one of my favorite razors in my stable. Back to the Roam... I sit here and type and feel like I just woke up in a tent after a campfire, where the night before I cooked Licorice over the open flames. SWMBO hasn't smelled it yet. My guess is that it'll get a big thumbs down. Finished with the matching AS. More Licorice/smoke. Tomorrow, back to the Focus, I promise.
Thank you, Jim! Great post, Joseph! We did a lot of camping when growing up and I can vividly mentally recreate the scent of waking up in a tent after a campfire. However, can't recall ever cooking licorice. Great post overall.
