  5. Do us proud, Andrew! ;)
  6. You can take the bones out. If you don’t, I agree, it is nearly inedible. I learned how from an old fishing guide I used to drink beer with. You really need (or I do at least) a fish at least two to three pounds, or I just end up with nuggets.

Northern isn’t the best fish, but it isn’t all bad. If it was all there was, I’d happily eat it all the time. Just hard to want to keep (clean) them when you have enough walleye and crappies that you’re freezing them for winter.
  7. It was never mild per se, but 100% the most comfortable daily driver I ever used.
  8. Really beautiful!

    Razor: Blackbird SB
    Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (3)
    Brush: SOC boar
    Pre shave: Stirling mentholated
    Soap: Proraso sensitive skin
    Thayers Cucumber
    AS: Proraso

    Menthol Monday!

Wonderful shave from the Blackbird this evening! Two pass with touch up, near BBS. With skin stretching and a light touch I got away with the awkward ear to adams apple atg pass in the hollows of my neck with no irritation! Woo Hoo!

    Have a good night![IMG]

  11. Another excellent photo Jim. I really like the way you use the light to frame your photos. Great style.
  12. Thank you, Clint.
I chase the light around the house. I try to make up for my lame reports with a decent picture.

  13. You've developed a signature style. I could tell it was your picture without seeing the rest of the post.

  14. SOTD:

Razor: Brand new to me Blue Tip, picked up in a local shop for a tidy $9.
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: 30DC
    Soap: PAA Cool Spices
Mug: Old Spice Ship Recovery (Shulton, made in Belgium)
Aftershave: Old Spice in a vintage Old Spice sailing ship Stein

Man, what a shave. I was feeling nostalgic on this rainy night and decided to go for a full on Old Spice shave. I purchased the Blue Tip yesterday from a vendor at a local shop that I've not found shaving stuff at before. There were a couple others that I have better examples of, but I've never found a Blue Tip in the flesh (or steel, as it were). I've read a lot about them, and I've used many a flair tip. After hearing how mild these were, I was prepared to be underwhelmed. Well, let me tell you: I'm a bit smitten. What a good, comfortable shave. Mild don't have to mean "not close". I was due for a head shave, and since the face shave went so well, I decided to "forge ahead" with the blue tip, and I'm glad I did. Great results and I've found another razor for heavy rotation.

Old Spice lovers can do a whole lot worse than this soap. I'm feeling old school and fragrant now. I decanted a bottle of Old Spice into the Stein bottle I found and then splashed it on liberally. Good times.
