Congrats on a very enjoyable shave, John! That's what it's all about - and what we strive for in this group.

Excellent shot Jim! Glad you had a productive night! I'm sure that extra growth will be wiped out with ease! Sounds like a great shave John! You and your family are still in my thoughts an prayers. Very nice Jim! Is the that container that the Speick stick comes in? It looks pretty cool!
SOTD July 27th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Blackland Dart Astra SP (3) Stirling Boar (24mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Satsuma soap and Glacial Satsuma AS The more I use the Dart the more I appreciate it aggressiveness/efficency. This razor is not for the faint of heart, it is just as efficient and aggressive as the ATT H, Fatip OC, RazoRock Wunderbar, Futur (Clone). It demands your full attention and a feather light touch. I am doing two passes with the Dart WTG and then ATG with some light buffing in the trouble spots and it just annihilates any and all stubble, BBS finish. No burn from the AS and no detectable irritation. The post shave from the Stirling products is amazing and my skin is soft and smooth. Have a great weekend my friends! TGIF!!
Great photos, Andrew! Satsuma is wonderful. Definitely a full size tub when my sample is gone. Looks like Logan is in charge of the remote this morning. TGIF!!! Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Technically, a straight razor only has 180 degrees of adjustability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you, Andrew! That is the container it came in, and I will be keeping after this stick is gone as it is a perfect shave stick container. Great picture of your shave, and another terrific shot of Logan! Looks like he already owns the remote.
Ok, ok, so yeah, technically it does. However, if you stand on your head and spin while shaving with one, you can get it to 360. It's just a matter of technique. I think they call that the ballet straight technique.
Woo hoo! There is our little guy, which means it's Friday!!!! Great setup and photos, Andrew! I'm glad you're getting along with the Dart. They're beautiful razors. And, Satsuma is a wonderful scent. Probably one of my favorites from Stirling.
See the empty dish? That’s where the VDH soap was. I finally finished my first full puck of soap this morning. I kinda stayed with my focus for the month. I mostly used the Rockwell 6S, and I did finish a soap (my two goals). I did stray from the Rockwell a little, since I got some Gem razors at the local flea market, and, well…you gotta try ‘em out, right? And, I didn’t claim that I’d use the Rockwell exclusively - just mostly. Always leave a little wiggle room. We still have a few days left in the month, so I’ll stay with the Rockwell - and it’ll probably see a fair amount of use in August (since it’s billed as an “adjustable). I’d classify it as “interchangeable”, but I digress. Rockwell 6S Astra S/P Stirling Kong VDH soap Chatillon Lux “2018” A/S Shave was great….a couple of small weepers around my Adam’s Apple. The one side seems to be my nemesis. The hair grows at odd angles there, and sometimes - if I get greedy- there will be weepers. Overall, a close, comfortable shave. Have a great Friday, gents!
