Woo hoo! There is our little guy, which means it's Friday!!!! Great setup and photos, Andrew! I'm glad you're getting along with the Dart. They're beautiful razors. And, Satsuma is a wonderful scent. Probably one of my favorites from Stirling.
See the empty dish? That’s where the VDH soap was. I finally finished my first full puck of soap this morning. I kinda stayed with my focus for the month. I mostly used the Rockwell 6S, and I did finish a soap (my two goals). I did stray from the Rockwell a little, since I got some Gem razors at the local flea market, and, well…you gotta try ‘em out, right? And, I didn’t claim that I’d use the Rockwell exclusively - just mostly. Always leave a little wiggle room. We still have a few days left in the month, so I’ll stay with the Rockwell - and it’ll probably see a fair amount of use in August (since it’s billed as an “adjustable). I’d classify it as “interchangeable”, but I digress. Rockwell 6S Astra S/P Stirling Kong VDH soap Chatillon Lux “2018” A/S Shave was great….a couple of small weepers around my Adam’s Apple. The one side seems to be my nemesis. The hair grows at odd angles there, and sometimes - if I get greedy- there will be weepers. Overall, a close, comfortable shave. Have a great Friday, gents! Hi guys! We've had a lightning strike disable the DSL in my neighborhood. I am around, but only on a phone with a marginal signal. Hopefully by Monday, I can use internet again. Internet helps me make a living, so Monday would be great! Other than that... All is quiet in Colorado.
Dregs of July shave Palmolive Stick soap Oceans boar brush Suribachi bowl Cool water '55 Red Tip Astra SP blade Osage Rub AS (no pic) I didn't feel like getting too creative. Just went with some old friends for this shave. The shave stick was mushed into an appropriate container, loaded into a wet brush and bowl lathered. Face lathering is not my preferred method. Easy no error three pass that caught all but a little stubble on the earward corners of my lower jaw. Fighting the heat with a simple dose of menthol to finish. It's been a while since I had to prep my children for the new school year. Last couple days involved setting alarm clocks, stomping around making lots of noise, and applying an ice cube to the granddaughters feet. Can't wait for school to actually begin so I can wake 'em up, get their mom moving, and send me back to bed for a short nap before work. Good Shaves Y'all!
Sounds like a great shave, Rick! Having a little peace and quiet to yourself in the morning will be a welcome change I'm sure!
